They are playing in Europe, and he has been fantastic for Villarreal in both La Liga and Champions League. Selling him at this reported price would be terrible.

Suits Spanish football, unfortunately only three clubs in Spain can pay good money for him and they won’t want him. Get rid and learn lessons.

If we'd bought GLC for £20m nobody would think this was a particularly unfair price to sell him for. It's not too low - he's been very disappointing in England and fees are always lower abroad, especially when we want to sell. The problem is the extortionate amount we paid, but that's in the past and there's no point in compounding the error by holding onto him now and trying for an unrealistic sum. Good call to cut our losses and get rid.

Honestly, you're bang on.
Had we held out all summer for 20-25 people would be moaning that we're too stubborn and it's impacted incomings.
Time to be decisive and take a few hits here and there and if it means we can get on with building the bigger picture for Conte so be it.
We could miss out on our preferred targets if we don't make some room early doors.

We just have to take the hit, remember he takes a foreign slot too which makes it even worse, we desperately need to get rid. We aren't the only club that makes bad signings but him and Ndombele were particularly terrible as they both flopped and they were both signed for big money after a window wiith no signings at all.
What a weird period that was as a club, we seemed to be so clueless. Hopefully the club have learnt their lesson.

They've got Mcallister...similar but with more end product.
They need better forwards.
