Starting to really believe he's checked out already.

He was fit prior to the last game, only for Conte to tell us that he said he was feeling something in the warmup?

Have a feeling RM have told him/his representatives that they'll execute their purchase option.
That would be great. For the amount in the release clause we could bring in Kostic and Ndicka.

I suspect we’ve seen him kick his last ball for us by the sounds of things. A shame as it feels like he’s never quite reached his potential with us despite his quality being obvious on many occasions.

Oh well…..next!.

Reguilon is still a surprising one for me. Guess Perisic and Sess are a good duo, but still seems weird he’s really being pushed out the door.
Still a bit wary of sess's injury record. I guess the coaching staff is happy though? Can't see us bringing in another LWB.

Same here. It’s why I hoped we would sign a Swiss-army knife type like Carrasco. If Sess goes down we are left with only Perisic who while he is durable is still 33 and in a new, more physical league.

My opinion is Conte prefers a taller player with a tougher physique.

And as far as Sess goes, I think he will really come on this season.

You can’t in all conscience carry a recent Spanish international as a 3rd choice LWB.

I suspect once it was made clear to him that we were betting on the other two, he immediately got on board with the programme of finding another club.

Doherty can cover LWB if needed, as long as we have 5 options to cover both wing backs.

I thought Reguilon got into good positions last season, just didn't finish off the chances.

Yeah, fair point. However, we did just see a report saying that Doherty was told he can find a new club.

I did see that, but unless there are more reports or someone confirms it, i'm ignoring it for now.
Doherty was being played over Royal, so i cant see us moving him on and keeping Royal

He hasn't fully adapted to wingback like Sessegnon but to be fair Ryan had a season to learn at Hoffenheim.

With Perisic joining and Davies/Doherty able to cover, he's now surplus.

that would suggest to me that a move for him and winks are close as whilst they're evidently not in conte's plans, i don't think they were at the point where he just has no time for them as with ndombele/lo celso.

Im not sure it does mean a move is close, just that they arn't in his plans this season.
Even if they cant find a new club they wont make the 25 man squad

Yeah but Conte will have been watching to see how well he was taking things in, to see if he could adapt.

I posted at the back end of last season that since January Certain players had surprised Conte, and that some that were deemed surplus he'd changed his mind about(one that I think will shock some on here) due to their attitude, mentality and ability to do what he was asking. Well Regi was the opposite.

This one is as exciting as a new transfer. I wonder who that is. Personally I hope it is Rodon.

Will still shock us? Or was this Doherty and his resurgence?
