Some of the comments in these match threads are genuinely mind boggling.

I'm sure some of you watch us in hope we lose just to justify your ridiculous analysis of the game.

That was a great win against an in form team that not very long ago nearly beat Liverpool at Anfield scoring 3.

Great overall team performance and touching moment at the end for Ventrone.

Thought it was a little odd that Brighton let us play so much unless the 3 in the middle allowed that to happen
Think they'd probably spent a week prepping for the 343 and took a while to adjust to our formation.

I suspect we played our best football in the first 30 mins for that reason.

Good performance from the whole team. I thought Bissouma grew into it in the second half before he was subbed off. He’ll come good.

Kudos to Doherty for his defending, stayed switched on and made some key interceptions. Decent performance but once again our cluelessness in the final third is making these games a lot closer than they really should be. We’ve gone from super clinical, almost surgical, in our attacking situations at the end of last season to fumbling around like a drunken prom date.
You’d like to think that we will click soon, most likely when Deki is back, but it’s frustrating, concerning and bringing unnecessary criticism and scepticism on Conte’s tactics. If our forwards were doing their jobs, we’d be winning 3/4-0 and all would be rosy in the garden

No such thing as a bad win, especially away from home.

But I've never known a team play at walking pace who still manage to make everything feel like it's happening at 90mph!

Hopefully Kane is OK. Shout out to Doc too, defended well and got into some good positions first half despite being out for so long.

Fantastic result. Especially after the awful week for the club.

Loved the 5 in midfield, thought we had far more control.

Fantastic three points. Not the most convincing performance at times, but at least a period of really positive stuff which is a step in the right direction. That 30 minutes in the first half was really promising stuff and I'd much rather see us aspire to recreate that than a lot of what we've seen in previous matches.

Challenging game against a good Brighton side. I thought the referee was quite poor for both sides

Yeah he looked better and better as the game went on. Clearly a psychological thing with him.

Considering the last time Brighton lost at home was back in March (to us) that was a fucking great result.

352 shows promise, we had more control for a while. Shame about Son being marginally offside for that screamer
I wonder if that's why it went in, he knew he was offside so the pressure was off. He's definitely struggling at the moment.

Not a professional athlete obviously, but I lost a close colleague and dear friend very suddenly, very young 4 years ago. Incredibly difficult on the whole department as we were and are a close knit group.

We didnt have to carry doing our jobs live on TV with millions around the world watching.

Do not for a moment underestimate how difficult it must have been to even play tonight let alone grind out what was a very good 3 points.

Huge admiration for our boys tonight !!
