You simply cannot say he's not a greater risk than managers who have experience of the big five leagues of European football. Club football is very, very different to European football, even though, as you say there are differences in those leagues, too. The football culture, the pitches, the refereeing, everything is quite different down there.
I also am not that blown away by his results tbh. Obviously its very good but people talk about him as if it's like the South American equivalent of fergusons Utd. And that Pep quote as well seems to get wheeled out a lot as if Pep doesn't frequently talk in absolute hyperbole!
