Not sure if Chelsea can afford him if get Europe and after all those long-term contracts they’ve already handed out.

Plus they need to meet financial fair play regulations (allegedly).

Any player who doesn't truly want to be at the club should be allowed to leave, Kane included.
If that means selling him this summer for a good fee of 75m+ then so be it.
Trouble with that is the players who have been at the club earning high wages are the ones comfortable to stay on those wages. The ones who want to leave are the ones with ambition. It's the wrong core of players to sell. We need to sell the ones who have been coasting along with no desire to achieve things. We need to fight to keep the ones who are looking to move and build around them so they are confident to win things here.

Kane jeopardises his legacy if he goes there.

Yup.

Utd is the biggest club in England so although I wouldn't be happy about it, I could just about stomach it if he went there.

If he went to Chelsea he completely ruins his relationship with the fans.

We can definitely try to convince them, but players like Modric who can perform at high levels despite wanting to leave are few and far between.
Players who aren't fully motivated but still here are likely one of the many reasons why we've been stalling significantly and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be among both coasters and ambitious ones.

I absolutely agree that we should try to sell some players who still want to stay for wages or status' sake, but the fact is that if a player genuinely doesn't want to leave there is little we can do apart from releasing them from their contract and pay their remaining wages. Also, if you're ambitious and don't get your way you're just as likely to stink out the place which can turn any dressing room or workplace into a cesspool of toxicity.

To be fair I think the fans have ruined the relationship with our players already, at a certain point the players probably stop caring when the relationship has no value to them as it's clear how fickle our support is to individuals.

If the choices are lose him this summer for £100m+ or lose him on a free in a year, I'd reluctantly let him go this Summer and take the money. I appreciate everything he has done for us, he's been the greatest player I've ever seen in our colours, but I think if we are going to attempt any sort of rebuild we need to rip off the Harry Kane plaster sooner rather than later.

I don't trust us to reinvest that money wisely in the slightest, but if "life after Kane" has to be a thing we might as well go through it at our lowest ebb and try to rebuild with no expectations.

It's going to be a fucking rough few years regardless of what happens with him.

I'd rather he stays and nope the new manager turns it around like what ETH is sort of doing

Isn't it if they are not in Europe they can't get done by ffp so they can spend big again although not sure how that makes sense

It could come down to how much he’s worth to us for 1 season!?

If he wants to stay in England and only Man U come in for him in the summer and only offer 40/50m will Danny boy accept?

Obviously Levy is hoping there’s a bidding war between 2/3 clubs in which case it’s probably the best scenario for everyone (except us!)
Levy would laugh them out of town for that kind of fee. A 30 year old Chris Wood with 6 months left on his contract went for 25m - Kane's 10 times the player he is.

Kane is the England captain, generational goalscorer, most famous footballer in the country, doesn't rely on pace, great for marketing etc etc etc.

I think any club would need to offer at least 70m for Levy to even answer the phone, and he'd want clauses taking it up to 90-100m I reckon. And knowing Levy I might actually be too low in my estimations.

If we don't get that kind of offer Levy simply won't sell and he'll leave on a free in a year's time.

I'm sorry, but in this day and age, do you expect fans to go to games, watch utter shitshows and a Club that has been run into the ground for the last 4 years and fans to just sing oh when the Spurs every 5 minutes?

Personally, I'm tired of managers who think they're above us and players who also think they're too good for us.

I want Harry to stay, but only if he wants to stay. I'm done begging managers to want us, tired of feeling like Harry is too good for us (which he is). This massive inferiority complex we have is the root of all our problems. Mentality goes a long way and it starts from the fans. Sides like Sevilla (Europa League) and Real Madrid (CL) have this feeling or rather a deep rooted club mentality that they'll do well in certain competitions. We have the same thing with failure.

So if Harry has to be convinced to stay, I would rather see him go and start a rebuild with a manager who wants to manage us and players that want to play for us.

I expect fans to take responsibility for themselves and stop going to games and giving the club money if they're sick of putting up with it. Not repeatedly making the same mistake over and over again, expecting something to be different when they won't change their relationship with the people who have power, as they keep giving them money, then feeling owed something then taking it out on the wrong individuals. If fans should be mad at anybody, should be themselves for allowing themselves to be treated as such.

He’s given everything and honestly we don’t deserve him. Unless, by some miracle we can convince him of trophies with a new manager and promise of serious investment, I can’t see him staying. Any trop have challenge will take years with this squad.

I think his mind is made up. Whether he goes in the summer or next year is the only question. At the moment, just feels like it's all about knocking as many league goals as possible to get him close to Shearer for him while at us and nothing more. Noticed when he scored on Sunday, there was a fist pump to himself as though 'yes, that's another one closer to the record' even though we were 5-1 down and I don't blame him one bit.

His hope will be to move and pick up some silverware towards the end of his career while also surpassing Shearers record and if that's how his career ends, I'd genuinely be happy for him.

It’s a shame he doesn’t have two years left on his contract because he could easily have broken Shearers record while here. Then we could’ve let him go to one of the foreign big clubs on a free to get his title medal so the morons can accept he’s world class. Personally, seeing him play for another PL team is going be be awful.
