I can't fathom why he would have played against Barca if his injury were precarious enough to potentially require surgery.

It may turn out for the best if Sonny gets a run of matches up front. I personally think Son is a much better fit for the No. 9 role than for the winger role in Ange's setup, so forcing Ange's hand in that regard may not be a bad outcome (assuming we're able to sign a Kane replacement such as Orban for adequate squad depth).

So when clubs find our Richarlison is out for a while and kane is gone I reckon we would even be priced out of danny ings

The injury has been lingering and apparently he went to see a specialist during the summer. He then took a hit in training to the problem area and now surgery is looking likely.
As per most injuries surgery is always the last option, and rehab is usually tried first. Like any surgery there are risks, hopefully if he has the surgery it will resolve the issue and he comes back 100%

This is a blow - but at least we can play Peresic at left wing and we have Solomon now too, then play Son up top.

Last season we couldnt do that as needed Peresic at LWB and were relying on a finished Moura ..........

Feel sorry for Richy, the lad can't catch a break....

This fucking club. Any time over the past couple of years I’ve dared to feel positive about the club and it’s prospects on the field my foolish optimism is decimated by some sort of news that’s like a sledgehammer to the balls.

For example: We beat City in February and in the next game Bentancur does his ACL.

Now, on the eve of a new season where we can finally expect to watch attacking football with a genuine creative influence in the team to open up defences, we’ve potentially seen £160m of centre forward talent go up in smoke with Kane (maybe, possibly, probably) leaving and now Richarlison injured.

At the risk of sounding melodramatic it’s seriously fucking draining ‘supporting’ Tottenham.

Good luck Dane Scarlett in that number 9 role in Sunday!

Edit: I may have over reacted to spurious internet rumours. Was a long day.

Slowly but surely we are collectively realising that we are starting from scratch. Totally get what you mean here with the here we go again mentality.

This is where we’re at: collectively feeling let’s hope Dane turns into a Kane.

We’ve got to get behind Ange now as it’s obvious now that he will have to build like Poch : project manager.

You may not see him for a while, even if he is on the bench this week. Injury/op concerns

Apparently he's denied he needs an op which is food news 👍
