Lol some people always like to find fault.

Thought he played very well off the left personally. Did stray just offside in the 2nd half when he assisted son again as the ball got delayed through to him.

He's much more direct at getting balls into the box from playing on the wing than both Kulu and Solomon (not seen enough of Johnson out there to judge) which makes us much more threatening when he has the ball out wide approaching the box....

Probably the kind of service he'd want if he was playing through the middle but doesn't get without Perisic playing.

Was a very difficult job playing through the congested middle once they went down to 9 men though so I won't judge him or veliz in his cameo for that.

Not a fan but played an important part for us in the game yesterday. I thought he looked knackered when Son went off and was expecting him to go off instead.

He has his faults, and I'm sure we could replace him with a more technically gifted player, but he's a good fit for the team in many ways, particularly attitude and personality - that's stuff it's easy to undervalue, until it's gone.

Eh? I thought he was very good on the left. Got no service when he went up top.

We all want Rich to do well, and we should give him time to find good form. And I agree that we lacked creativity yesterday when Maddison was taken off.

However, in general we should IMO be careful with the no service excuse, which in the past has usually been wheeled out for those strikers who just are not good enough, e.g. Bobby Soldier, Pav, insert name etc.

For one game when we were up against EIGHT defenders he got no service at all. We didn't attack the by line and cross it. He couldn't make runs into space, because there was NO space.

Nobody is saying no service for the entirety of his time here, just yesterday. Which is correct.

He played well, weird agenda against him. Set up a goal, hit the post and should have had another assist when he put in on a plate and no one was there.
Very toxic to be accusing people of an agenda if they dare to be critical of something.

It’s not the Daily Mail here.

Granted I only saw the highlights but didn’t he have one very good assist, should have had another if Kulu had just timed his run and also hit the post. Is that not classed as a decent contribution nowadays?

He might not be the prettiest player to watch in whatever position it is but he was much more effective on the wing. He produced a good, and all too easy to flub, assist at pace yesterday.

He was much better on the left with Son through the middle.

Even if he doesn't start he's an excellent option off the bench when we need to go direct, it's a shame Perisic got his injury because late on in games Perisic crossing to Richy was such a great option.

Need to get Porro and Richy working on that from the right wing in training.

All the people saying Hojbjerg was great have now left him and moved to this thread.
Hojbjerg, just like Richy is/was not deserving of some of the constant toxic comments they get from our own fans.

Find it really weird you find the need to come here and say that. Can you not just accept things are good right now and be positive? Or is your comfort zone toxic negativity?

Amidst all the acrimony and fallout from the Spurs-Liverpool game, here's a short video celebrating the sportsmanship of Richarlison.

Or Richer Leizen, as he will henceforth be known chez Nine.

Fair play to Skipp for following the suit too...

You’ve just repeated my post.

I’m sorry if making a criticism of a player is upsetting to you. Maybe try to toughen up a bit.
