Son is a better forward and Johnson/Solomon should be ahead of him on the wing.

Out of interest what have Johnson or Solomon done to show this?

I like all three, but Johnson hasn’t played 90mins for us, and Solomon.. 🤷🏻‍♂️. What have I missed that either has done that would suggest playing them ahead of Richarlison at this point?

Or is it more you just want to see it?

He played well, weird agenda against him. Set up a goal, hit the post and should have had another assist when he put in on a plate and no one was there.

Solomon was very good against Burnely, but I agree with this. That left wing position is very much up for grabs for someone to make their own. Richy made a good case for himself today.

While I agree with your post, I don’t see Richarlison making the left wing spot his.

He either makes the striker spot his or he’ll never find a proper place in the team.

I hope behind the scenes we are making moves to jog him on and replace him with Toney or someone of similar qualities . He was brought as a centre forward and he just doesn’t excel at anything , if we can get £30m back we’ve done well and can push on .

Time to put Steve down.

Did fine today. Probably would’ve been better off starting at CF to make those unselfish runs, as Sonny was clearly struggling all game.

Yes, Perisic will be a big miss for Richy. But it’s also an opportunity for Johnson, Bryan and Lo Celso to step up.

I wish him well this season. He’s an emotional guy, who just needs some confidence.

He got next to no service when he was moved centrally. He did fine on the wing prior to that. Made the runs where Maddison found him. But his best moment was nodding in Klopp's face.

You haven’t mentioned they went down to 9 men. Surely you would accept that’s an advantage?
That doesn’t bare any relevance to the fact that once Son went off he was a lone striker playing against three very good central defenders. When a team goes down to nine men, then don’t just leave massive gaps in behind the defence or between the defenders. If anything it’s harder to play against nine than it is to play against ten. Liverpool just stopped attacking and went into a compact low block.

We had better chances against 11 and 10 men than we did against 9. Richarlison played well, he assisted the first goal, putting it on a plate for Son. He nearly got a couple of other assists too, and was unlucky not to score.

Not really for the guy playing where they were massing all of their players.
So if there’s no space there you drop back and find space in front of them to link up to the midfield. You don’t just stand there and add nothing.

It’s not a disadvantage to play against 9 men. We had lots of attacking players to pull them about. A lack of movement played into their hands.

Made a far bigger contribution on behalf of his team than Salah, yet people are still complaining about him. I find this puzzling.

I like him, and I'm happy we have him in the team. And I feel no need to complain about yesterday's performance – he helped us win.

But I also sort of get the criticism of something feeling off. For me it's probably that his general passing ability doesn't seem quite good enough for the way we want to play.

Either way, we wouldn't have 6 points in our last two home games without him, so let's celebrate that for now.
