As lovely as the football is to watch, we'll only be effective with amazing centre halves (basically clones of Micky van de Ven who are strong, fast and can also play out). Essential that we get the right player who meets all 3, pay £60-70m if we have to.
Good luck with that

Royal having an absolute stinker but isn't being helped by Bissouma in front of him who looks totally lost. We still look dangerous on the break but our back 4 and midfield have been pretty woeful, aside from Porro who's doing an OK job against Doku.

One of Gil or Johnson has to come off. Can't carry both of them with this little of the ball and the defensive work. I think Gil has been more involved with some nice touches but he hasn't got the pace against Walker to make it a contest at least in a foot race.
Who comes on?! Richy has 10 minutes in him at most 😂

The frustrating and surprising thing for me has how wasteful we have been with the ball, giving it away to easily. That said looking at the bigger picture so many out and we do look threatening

A mixed bag really. We’ve not been too bad but defensively there’s Too many sloppy errors in our final third. Emerson especially has been woeful in possession. Udogie failed to track Foden into the box for their second goal! What made most me most concerned was despite the fact that the majority of their attacks are coming down our right side Johnson is making very little effort to get back and help Porro against Doku! He should be getting an earful from Ange at HT.
Let’s face it if they’d had their shooting boots on they’d be out of sight but they’re not so we’re still in it but have to do better in the second half. We need more from Bissouma and Lo Celso in the middle and some of our defenders need to wake up.

Neville seems to be willing spurs to fail this season. He’s so negative about us. No mention of the injuries as mitigation.

Just out of curiosity why is the pundit/commentary team made up of man city/Utd and Liverpool ex players, zero spurs or even southern teams representation and why caragher AND neville? 🤔

Gil was brilliant for our goal but, as a general matter, is too weak to withstand a press. Deki in the front line would give us a player who can hold the ball up, I’d look to bring on a CM, push Deki up and move Johnson to the left.
Each game I see of Bryan confirms my initial hypothesis. A decent player who's a good fit for the style but who'll never make it with us. He will however tide us over until we get some better options. With this style i'd rather see him in the team above cloggers.

Hopefully we can get £15m or so from a Spanish club in the summer.

How may clubs have had to play two FBs at CB this season?

Shame - if we had our first 11 out I would really fancy our chances

Roy Keane recently admitted he had a soft spot for Spurs. Probably why he's always so harsh on us lol.

That's nonsense. Played almost every game for Sevilla in his loan spell. Called up to the Spain squad this year. Obviously has quality but he's not cut out for the Premier League
He played over 80 mins only 3 times in 19 games for Sevilla. He started half of the games, the rest he was subbed in for 20-30 mins or an unused sub.

Hardly an integral part of their first XI, far more of a squad player.

Look City away is as hard as it gets and he’s still young, some players do develop physically and really kick on but on previous and current evidence right now he doesn’t look strong enough or good enough for the PL and the level we want to be under Ange.

Clever from us in the 1st half. Play at 50% so City get comfortable and the bam! 2-5 Spurs full time. Love it.

Johnson has to stay on. He can go up top should Son need to come off.

Gil has to be the one to come off.
