Sinner looking very good today; straight sets over Rublev.

Will he beat Djokovic in the semi? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I don't know. :D

Zverev 2 sets up against Alcaraz. Playing very well indeed, with Acaraz not at the level he is capable of.

Pretty boring women's final all in all. Hopefully tomorrow's will be better. Really looking forward to a final without Djokovic to be honest and with these two particular players as it feels more 50/50.

I have to admit I still hate the state of women's tennis. Such a lack of big characters like there used to be and to me (admittedly also because I don't watch WTA) it seems like there are just new people I've never heard of in the latter stages of every grand slam

I tried to watch it, but with Sabalenka literally screaming as though she'd been shot every time she hit the ball, I gave up.

Should be good match tomorrow, and yes, good to see one without Djokovic. It's time tennis moved on from the big 3.

Aha, yeah I'm not her biggest fan either. Always felt like the semi with Coco was sort of the final really.

Yeah I agree. I still massively appreciate that I can still watch one of the best players to play the sport still play at the highest level, but purely from an entertainment aspect, there are better match-ups to be had that don't involve him.

I think if anything it's maybe more a question of whether Sinner can reach his heights rather than Medvedev, as I think the latter will perform regardless. Hopefully the occasion won't get to Sinner and we'll see him at his best too.

I've been impressed with Sinner for a few years now, and I think he might well be challenging Alcaraz for world #1 by the end of next year. Lots of unknowns of course - I thought the same about Zverev a few years back - but tomorrow will be an interesting test.

Medvedev playing well, Sinner's level lower then the semi. Early to call, 1-1 second set, but that has to change if Sinner's going to win.

Yeah agreed. Medvedev is just far from your normal opponent. Maybe the player on tour who's least prone to being able to blast off court.

Unfortunately, for the sake of the match, Medvedev looks to be running away with it. A miracle Nadal comeback aside, it's a real mountain to climb to come back from 2 sets down against him.

Sinner getting better. Now it gets interesting. Big few games at the start of the 4th.

Sinner's just got better and better since the back end of the 2nd set. 1 game to go .... and that's going to be the hardest ...

Brilliant. Great tennis from both players in that last set. I think I was ore nervous than Sinner!

The youngest player since Borg to win a grand slam after being 0-2 down.

Will be really interesting going forward. Djokovic have still won 3 of the last 5 slams but when the decline happens it can go really fast. Alcaraz have been brilliant to win two GS at his age, but has not reached his highest level since Wimbledon last season. Sinner has taken the next step and proven himself. Zverev seems to be fully back from his serious injury and Medvedev is a title challenger for every tournament on hard court.

Add the Olympics in the middle of a busy grand slam season, and Nadal trying to squeeze the last bit out of his body and we have a really interesting tennis season ahead.
