I don't know why he was played on the wing when he's a CMF, strange move that, also don't know why people are judging him off the back of that last 30 seeing as he's not a winger?

He has the pace and looks to be a decent dribler, so I don’t see anything wrong with placing him on the wing. He’s still young and can adapt to other positions imo

I think there's nothing wrong when you have no other option, but we did.

The amount of work our forwards put in meant that they were all going to tire. Gedson has a good engine and has shown at certain times that he's decent on the transition, so he was probably a logical pick (although I felt Sessegnon could've done the same job).

Thankfully he's only here on a loan and we have one more year to assess him. If I had to decide now however, I'd say 'no'.

Agree it's a wierd one. He seems to have a lot of trickery about him, from the matches and the training sessions. Could be why he's played on the wing.

I thought he was more an 8, but when you have multiple players in that position it's hard for him to play.

We payed £3.8m in the 18 loan deal with an option of £40m to complete it - right now that 40m seems a lot.

I cant see us buying him. Especially if we don't have European football next season.

Gedson has a similar game to Jack Grealish from what I see. He can play in a three man midfield or attack. I’m pretty excited by the prospect of Dele Gedson Lo Celso Ndombele Bergwijn Son Kane once Jose opens up a bit or gets a better solid base.

Personally feel we should make Gedson a permanent deal asap

he really hasn't done too much wrong to justify the hate he is getting in here?

I think a lot of you need to realise that when you've seen him it's usually during cameos where we are down, or in need of winning a game.

the poor bloke isn't going to come on and be a world class beater but he has shown (just as much as anyone) the potential that he has to be a proper solid player. Also the fact he's been asked to play in positions are don't suit his game, thought he was a an absolute baller when he came on at LM against Norwich

You can’t really judge gedson until we see him more in his actual cm position! Some signs are there though he will definitely be able to carry the up upfield sissoko like with abit more quality

People are forgetting that in Friday he played against the best defensively right back in the league...

I'm not hating on him at all I just comented that I think he looks too lightweight for the PL from what I've seen of him and I stand by that, I also added I hoped to be proved wrong, I'm a Spurs fan, I don't hate anyone who wears our colours

Can’t yet see what he brings and appears to be no upgrade on what we already have.. He’ll will also need to bulk up a bit as gets out muscled relatively easily.

We have yet to see enough of him to make a judgement. You can see he is a talented kid but far from the finished article. I like him though and think he has something about him. He is only 21 remember.

No idea how you’ve seen Grealish when watching him nor deemed that he’s shown worthy of that purchase option.

Honestly struggling to have too many opinions on Gedson at all. He's played 15 minutes a time in a range of different positions. Ive not seen enough to know where he plays or what he actually does.

Hope we cancel his loan at the end of the season as there isn't much of a future for him here and he really hasn't been that good for us. I hope that this serves as a wake up call for Levy to push for a DOF who would handle all transfers/loans, instead of ending up with a player who was not a good fit for our squad, who will most likely not going to feature for us again this season and is taking possible minutes away from other HG talent ( Skipp, Sessegnon etc ).

Reminds me of when Onomah used to get 5 minutes here and there, I don’t know what Gedson is as a player. He looks like he’s talented, but where and how effective he’ll be, who knows

The thing that annoys me about Gedson is that from when he has played, multiple times he's looked weak on the ball and also multiple times has gone down easy looking for a freekick when he knows he's about to lose the ball or has been muscled out. The latter being a bit of an annoying trait.

To get a full assessment he needs many more minutes on the pitch but I've been far from impressed so far. Although it's not easy for someone who isn't physically imposing at all and playing in a physical league, plus also coming from not the best of the leagues, being young etc. Kind of reminds me of a Dele type of player in having a range of ok attributes but no real outstanding ones, I think you can only afford to have so many of those types of players.

Just a shame he isn't a lot more sturdy on the ball as he could probably at least do a job for us in providing fresh legs and good energy.

I think he’s very much in Jose’s plans and I’d like to see him at least get a full pre season before we write him off. Between the Europa League [if we qualify] and the domestic cups next season he should get opportunities to play.

I think we can safely put him in the "Why the Feck Did we Get Him" category.
