Jasprit Bumrah says hello!

Must be the worst great fast bowler in history to watch bowl

Horrible run up. Dreadful action. Fantastic bowler!

We’re only 150 odd behind now. Can’t believe Stokes hasn’t declared and asked them to bat again
Bumrah has bowled expertly but I think collectively the whole England bowling attack contributed…Hartley is a second innings specialist, or so I’ve decided 👀

I'm not understanding Ahmeds role in the side... I wouldn't say he was a particularly good batsman, and so far the bowling of well, everyone else has surpassed him and he didn't even bowl much?

Off to a good start but we have been here before.
Hopefully Mr Root will come to the party in this innings, as we will probably need something substantial from him if we are going to get close…..

It’s very likely England lose this one but there is never a dull moment watching this test side. The batting in particular is so fearless.

Massive shame to lose Duckett but previous England sides would’ve been around 25-4 if they had to see off 14 overs at the end of a days play.

If England stand any chance of winning this, Root has to contribute. He’s been disappointing so far and is due a big innings.

He is there to buy you wickets on a turning 2nd innings pitch. It’s not his fault we are getting blown away so quickly he isn’t getting the chance

he's there as the attacking, wicket taking leggie. Stokes has used him well, and you can see his control is getting better and better.

he is a very talented batsman, he's just growing into international cricket.

the balance of the sides in both tests have been very good, it's a shame Stokes can't bowl otherwise it would be perfect.

we all thought getting 20 wickets a game with this attack would be tough, so far they have really impressed with the ball and we're under the pump in this game in particular because we didn't get enough runs.

only just seen Ravindra has made a test ton for NZ v South Africa.

he looks a really special player.
I think they promoted him to open recently and he’s just smashed it from going in a at eight, it’s quite funny when you look at some of the openers and what number they started off at!

great start by England!

unfortunately, Root dropping that catch is likely to be massive.

also, england have bowled 16 overs in 90 mins, which is just shambolic.

Blimey just seen the score

33-3 to 326-5 at the close! That’s a pretty commanding score

Who did Root drop?
