Very interested to see how Bashir performs

Was playing in the 2nd tier of The Surrey Championship two seasons ago for Guildford and didn’t pull up any trees

Nobody rated him and Surrey let him go. Everyone was amazed he got a contract at Somerset and his figures have been extremely average to say the least

Went to Swanns spin camp in Spain along with 11 other young County Spin bowlers and impressed the most alongside Hartley

Will Stokes throw him the ball early doors and just let him bowl, whether it’s good, bad or ugly. Certainly worked for Hartley eventually

Fantastic as a bowler, for the skipper to chuck you the ball, have 100% confidence in you, try to take the pressure off and just let you bowl….

More power to Stokes and 🤞for Shoaib Bashir
Never seen the kid bowl but it’s certainly another brave selection and I’m all in for that! Remember Fletcher. And Vaughan used to ignore county numbers and look at technique and temperament for test cricket, love this selection model.

It's a very long tail in the Indian line up. Should have rested Siraj and selected a seaming allrounder like Hardik Pandya.

Just catching up with today’s play. Anderson’s economy rate is amazing, especially when comparing to the other bowlers.

Need to really dig in for a bit. Foakes can hang around with Stokes

Bumrah had a great spell in the first test and we got through it

🤞

You were saying! 🤦Not sure if it's been poor batting or excellent bowling, Bairstowe and Root I feel we're poor batting, Pope had no chance.

Bit of both but I’d always side with the bowlers

First test we had a deficit of 196 on first innings so I’m not counting any chickens yet!

Didn’t catch any of England’s bowling however just seen Anderson’s spell, particularly his economy rate. The guy is an utter, utter freak. He has no right to be doing this at 41 let alone in India of all places.

Honestly there really isn’t anything in it between these two sides. Remove Jaiswal’s innings and it’s pretty much neck and neck. He’s been the difference between the sides. England need to bowl very well and hope one or two of their batters go big in the final innings.

Jasprit Bumrah says hello!

Must be the worst great fast bowler in history to watch bowl

Horrible run up. Dreadful action. Fantastic bowler!

We’re only 150 odd behind now. Can’t believe Stokes hasn’t declared and asked them to bat again
