@Now it's Spursonal looks like Calafiori might be on his way to Juve It’s also looking very likely Motta will be the new Juve coach. I fully expect a big turn around come summer. Recently they announced a 200 mil capital gains increase, their 3rd in 4 years, and they got into the new Club World Cup which seems to have big financial benefits. They are still in a very precarious position but I have a feeling they will still gamble in the upcoming market because of this.

By all accounts Koopmeiners and Calafiori are their top 2 targets and have already begun work on getting them. They also really want Zirkzee. As you can see they are on the verge of completing Anderson which likely means as expected Soulé will be off, Kean and Millik will probably go as well if they can find an interested buyer. They are also apparently open to selling Huijsen and if so we should be monitoring that situation. I expect Vlahovic to renew whilst Chiesa’s renewal looks more likely now but still seem to be up in air somewhat.

They will still need to raise funds from sales for those transfers however as all of them will be expensive. Utd are sniffing around Bremer and I think they will let him go for a healthy fee but even after that they will still look to unload more.

Sell Solomon Gill Richarlison Gio. Move Kulu to back up 10
Aside from the fact he has been horrifically off form of late I really do not like the idea of Kulu as the back up 10. I’ve seen nothing to convince me he would be able to do a consistently good enough job there. If you sell Gio we would need to bring in an AM. Being finically realistic I think one of your WF would have to be a player who’s primary position is a 10 but can also cover the wings.

I wonder whether there is an opportunity to go back for Vitor Roque. If his agent is to be believed we really pushed the boat out and tried everything we could to hijack the Barca move so he is obviously rated highly within the club. He hasn’t really made an impact yet and they are really short of saleable assets on sensible wages so he might be considered expendable when the transfer circus comes to town and they have no more levers left to pull. The player will take some convincing, but that’s precisely what happened with Royal.

Agree mate Kulu is a real conundrum, I think he will be given the chance to be back-up to Maddison and that worries me if as you say we don't have a better quality option in terms of a new WF who can also play as a 10 like Eze and if we also sell GLC then if Maddison gets injured I think we'd have a problem.

Gibbs-White could solve this as he can play out wide and n.o10...?

All very good theoretically but you are effectively reducing Son to a bit part player next season and i'm not sure that's going to be the mindset of Ange right now although I will caveat that we do ultimately need to look at succession planning.

Unpopular opinion but if a big offer comes in for Kulusevski (>£50m) then i'm dealing.

A quality player on his day no doubt but fundamentally a bad scheme fit for Ange.

Completely agree.

Would essentially swap him for Gibbs-White, what about Eze as he is CAA Base client and can play wide or n.o10 and is fast and dynamic and would suit Ange's style of football.

Any other back-ups to Maddison who we could sign who could cover WF and n.o10 better that Kulu as I doubt we will splash the cash on another n.o10 to warm the bench but if Gio is leaving I'd be concerned if Kulu is supposed to be the answer as back-up to Maddison tbh.

Fuck it Toney and Gibbs-White would improve the squad massively for next season.
Issues with Toney aside, is he a good fit for Ange's style of football?

Suppose he's fairly fast, good finisher, Ariel threat and can link play so he probably is tbh although he's what 28 and would cost £100mil so can't see that happening at all but on paper and is attitude and gambling issues aside he probably is a very good fit profile of striker.

What about Isak from Newcastle or Giminez from Feyernoord?

I thought he was really quite poor against us on Sunday, not surprised he got hooked early, and statistically speaking he isn’t particularly remarkable, see below, but he has put in some impressive displays, has decent G/A numbers (4 goals and 7 assist in 31 games) and one has to take into consideration the team he plays for. I’m sure he will 100% be on the list as he is HG and NF look to have some financial issues but he wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice personally. You are right tho I’m sure we will be looking at players like MGW, Gudmundsson, Olmo etc, that sort of versatile forward.

I don’t think Gimenez or David are significant enough upgrades on what we have to justify signing them.

Someone like Sesko could be interesting, as he’s so young and might explode.
I guess it depends what we think of Scarlett and Lankshear in that instance.

Now that’s an interesting idea. Despite being shorter he’s certainly more of a physical presence than Son, and his box play is excellent. He’s far more gifted than Richarlison technically, it’s not close.

It seems unlikely on paper but you’d hope there were enquiries at least.

He went off and got ice for his hamstring, so hooked for being injured I think. Wasn't his best game, but to me he is their best midfielder by a good distance IMO.

I think a big plus of keeping him will be him helping Bergvall to settle. I reckon the club will think that too. I also think Ange absolutely loves his mentality and engine. Plus who is realistically going to buy him for 50 mil? I know he’s still young but honestly watching him atm i really don’t think he’s a 50 mil player. I’m sure clubs would be interested if we put him on the market but probably not at the price we would want. I reckon he will be given another season before we start considering his future.

There will be a lot more games next season. Especially with how UEFA has changed their format.

Son/Sesko would both get plenty of minutes.

He’s def probably their best player and I did see the ice but I still think he was poor that game. He seemed to miss place a number of passes and got tackled a few times. I know we are obviously the better team but we did give NF space especially in the first half and from what I remember I thought MGW just had a bad game. But it’s only one game and obviously you shouldn’t judge a player off one game.

To be honest, Bergvall looks ideal to be groomed as understudy to Maddison making Kulusevski's position even more redundant whilst alleviating us allocating a big wedge of our transfer funds but this is on the assumption that management deem him ready to contribute straight from the get-go next season and not look to loan him out.

As for the Eze vs MGW debate, Eze represents the superior player for me but will also command the higher fee - much will depend on Forest's ability (or not) to stay in the league you feel as the vultures will be circling.
