Villa. Having come pretty close last year. And I've always rated O'Neill. And they've got loads of English players. Good for the league and can't hurt the England team giving their players experience of top level foreign opposition. Or Celtic.

City for me. I lived in Mancunia for a bit and made alot of friends up there who were City, Utd and Rochdale fans. The City fans always had the piss taken out of them (I was up there when City got relegated to division 3 in old terms) hence it would be nice for them to see a bit of success.

liverpool, they're out of our orbit anyway

the others we're still battling for the right to be the 5th biggest club in england

I don't agree mate. I think our squad is as good if not better than Liverpool's. Take Gerrard and Torres out of it and they struggle. With the trouble they have going on at boardroom level, a year or two out of the CL will unsettle them even further.

The only ones we can't/won't be able to compete with in the future is City, due to the unlimited funds they have.

HI haxman

liverpool have won 40 major trophies, including 5 european cups - we'll never be as big as them in the next 50 years, which is as long as I can expect to live and be compos mentis (my realistic prognosis is 30 years)

that's the way I look at it

whereas we can claim the 5th biggest spot in my lifetime

it'll take City a while to lay claim to that 5th spot due to their trophy drought

but i agree city are far more likely to finish 4th than us in the forthcoming years
