Poor form or not, injuries or not, I still get excited for UCL knockout games. Milan aren't exactly in top form themselves, so this really could go either way.

Doesn't matter how bad we are or were in the previous match, if I am able to then I will watch our matches.

Probably in the minority there.

Well we can take experience out of the equation and just look at our CL campaign so far.

We scored in four out of our six CL group games. Perisic assisted the first goal in three out of those four. No one in the Spurs squad has more goal contributions in CL.
It’s a fair point but it still doesn’t change the fact that overall Perisic hasn’t been good this season. He’s defended very poorly and been caught in possession when playing out and misplaced passes far too often. Pretty much all he has brought to the table is a delivery, every other aspect of his game has not been anywhere near the required level

We have to hope the front three are really on form today. The rest of the team looks about as average as I've seen since the 90s!

I’m the first one to agree about his defensive flaws and would have played Sessegnon in more games if he wasn’t terribly out of form before his injury.

You are right that the thing he has brought to the table is delivery but he’s so good at it that he’s worth having on the pitch. For example, our goal at Leicester was our only big chance that we created that entire game.

Sometimes in away games, set pieces can make all the difference and we have one of the best in the world.

Not against Preston they didn't.
Like I say they are good players but young, certainly Pape Sarr is, and not exactly experienced particularly in CL so will need to introduce themselves on the pitch.
I'm hopeful but we need to be fair to them not pile on if they struggle a bit.
I was getting my FA Cup games mixed up. They played together against Portsmouth.

Yes, they are young, but I think Skipp has experienced enough big games in the EPL not to be overawed against ACM. Sarr... who knows. He seems confident. TIme will tell. Perhaps fearless youth will be what we need.

Milan is very weak defensively on set pieces. This is where Perisic and Kane can hurt them.

If you’re right I will come back tonight and say thank you for manifesting it into reality because I’m very nervous about tonight! Haha

I'm actually looking forward to Skippy and Sarr in midfield, but terrified of Leao and Hernandez feeding Giroud up against Dier and Davies.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sarr.
I think he will surprise alot ,this could be the game to elevate him, he's been really good in training.

Davies ain't starting, so don't stress,
Well stress cos lenglet ain't better imo.

2 positives to take here is an apparent Hernandez injury and the fact that Romero basically transforms our defence

Lenglet is better in possession so depends if we can get hold of the ball. I really want to see more of him around the corner of the box putting crosses in. I really do feel we need to start using our crossing some more. Ideally with Richarlison on for Son too. I think with Perisic, Lenglet, Kulusevski and Porro we can deliver great balls for Kane and Richarlison. We just don't do it nearly enough.
