Durham is a WUM on the best of days. But does he normally go out on a limb like this? Seems odd and outta the blue.

‘A poor 12 months’? we got to the semi of one cup, final of the champions league and finished top 4 AGAIN!

HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POOR???!!

Sorry mate, agree to disagree. Have you not seen our form over the last 15 games?

You can’t deny the players have lacked motivation plus the system we’ve been playing has been awful.

His mood in press conferences and his negative comments in the press haven’t helped anyone.

He needs to sort himself out.

The CL run had something magic about it but also a lot of fortune, we were awful in the final.

I hear he was once involved in the industry. Hopefully he doesn’t have to manage every time he goes to watch. He’d only get to one game every 2-3 years.
He has shown an interest in managing us at some point.
Poch is clearly not happy and he hasn’t had the service he wanted at all. Signings were late (obvs apart from Ndombele). The team is clearly not happy. Of the four signings at the moment, two are injured, one is not match fit and has had no time to be integrated, one was loaned back for the season. Again we start with an injury crisis. Eyes are black. Rumours abound. We are playing like a team in crisis. Now there are Poch end game rumours. Jan happy? Danny Rose? Toby? Kane&Jan?
There is obviously more than problem here. More like a catalogue.

Did you start following football in 2018??? We might not be playing flowing football but you treat those achievements as some kind of given. Considering the circumstances that have been discussed to the nth degree on here - lack of signings, stadium move and World Cup hangover - you got to be a stupidly entitled fan to describe the last 12 months as ‘poor’. I’m actually disgusted. Fuck this place sometimes.

If he does go I would hope we go for an upcoming manager in howe, rather than a moody mourinho who would put pressure on levy straight away for signings

If Poch is still here after the weekend then can we unanimously agree to not give this walking figurine of shit anymore credence on this forum and stop sharing the absolute drivel he puts which serves only to antagonise the easily angered so they pay money to phone in?
It is hilarious how transparent he is in his attempts to get people to text or phone in - it's incredibly obvious but people fall for it every time.

Most of that could be settled this time next week. Durham will be talking about someone else. Should Poch throw it all away just that? It’s bollocks.

or, a big name like Mourinho would give Levy no wriggle room. he’d have to give him what he wants. an up and coming guy like Howe, Levy would walk all over him.

I think you have massively misread Daniel Levy if you think that any manager, no matter the reputation, would have any sort of impact in how he runs this club (business).

I totally get what you’re saying, and you may e right, but, it’s Levy. No one is gonna force him to change the way he does things, otherwise Poch would have done so already. Doesn’t matter who we get, if we choose to roll the dice, they will ALL come up against the same old problems every transfer window. Even Poch seemed happy with this pattern until recently. Even Poch can’t change this way of thinking from the chairman.

Wow I think you’re massively overreacting here, I am allowed to have a different opinion to you. I said I think Poch has had a poor 12 months, which compared to each of his previous seasons with us is true.

Obviously getting to the CL final was amazing but in the league we’ve literally been awful. We’ve been barely scraping wins and haven’t played well since we beat Everton away. We couldn’t even get up for the NLD at home.

There has been a massive lack of intensity in our play and Poch is responsible for that. He’s also responsible for playing the diamond when it’s clear to every sod that it doesn’t work with our players.

Poch has been amazing for our club and I did love him to pieces but that doesn’t mean he is not allowed to be criticised when he deserves to be.

Are you telling me you’re happy with the rubbish he’s been spouting in the media since the build up to the CL final?

Are you also thinking that everything is hunky dory? Because to me it looks like there is a lot wrong and unsettled at the club at the moment which has been papered over by reaching a CL final with a lot of good fortune.

I’m not entitled at all, I just want the team to play with a bit of intensity in the league again and for us to stop playing with a formation that we clearly can’t work out and is stifling our best players.

yea, you’re probably right. just thinking aloud.

there really wouldn’t be any point in getting a big name manager without backing him. unfortunately, i think we need a big name proven winner to move forward. but thats probably for another thread.

I cannot believe anyone would believe this bs. If he was going to walk out it would have already happened. Pochettino is f offed because of the media half the time he is trying to prepare and focus on a match and all they ask is about Christian Eriksen. It is all bs. Poch will get it sorted. Arsenal have been useless in all three games this season and everyone is saying how great they are. We had a referee rob us of at least a point at the weekend and all people can talk about is how poor we are playing.

I would really love something positive from Poch in his next presser just to put this shit to bed.
You know all they are going to ask him is about walking away. Which will wind Poch up more. Our news media are a bunch of right wing t****, who do not care as long as they can fill their columns with bs.

Oh ffs - so were Liverpool.

One bullshit penalty in the 2 minute then the entire game was a complete arm-wrestle - with us not in a position to risk conceding a second and Liverpool not having the guts to go for the win.

The entire game was changed by that bullshit penalty. We have no idea how either side might have played but for that pen. But if WE were shit Liverpool were just as shit. They never looked like scoring until we were having to fully at it late on.

This fucking revisionism of the CL does my head in. It's not like Liverpool played us off the park. It was a dour fucking struggle.

Jesus Christ why do some Spurs fans have to make shit up just so they can shit on their team. We were shit. Liverpool were shit. It was a shit game because of a shit decision.

Cracking job from Durham getting all those people to lump money on Poch going at what look like good odds.

I wonder what possible reason he could have to put out a rumour like this, given that Talksport are sponsored by a number of betting companies?

I can't imagine he'd have an ulterior motive which might in some way be related to some sort of financial gain.

Nah, I'm sure he's said this purely because he just wants the fans to know the truth. He's a good, honest lad like that.
