Welcome to Northampton!

I did see this and was very tempted but couldn't make it due to other plans.

I went to a Jimmy Greaves one about 15 years ago, a decent night; lots of funny stories about him and people he'd played with, a few questions from the audience and then a queue to have your photo taken with him.

Hope you have a good evening (y)

I went to Ledley's own one a year or so ago. It was good and gave some good insight into the Mourinho time as well as his injuries

Seen both these guys at separate evenings, Ledley suprised me, what a cool guy, he is such an interesting bloke. Daws was decent too, but particularly enjoyed meeting Ledley and hearing his stories.

I was actually at a referee evening last night and met Craig Pawson, told him we don’t get many penalties and he said he’s not reffed us this season. I told him to think of me in my living room shouting and Moaning next time he refs us and Richy goes down in the box

How was it?
Really good actually. I kind of guessed it would be OK but they talked for longer than I thought they would and both of them were really relaxed and friendly.

Dawson was very welcoming and enjoying himself - a natural on stage and when interracting with 1 on 1 with fans. Ledley surpised me by being more confident and assured than i thought he would be. Talked very well even through in a joke about Sol :)

Nothing too groundbreaking from either but a few snippets
  1. Ledley didn't really have any peers who he looked up to as he felt he was the best defender around when he played. When pushed he said Rio and Vidic though
  2. Dawson knew his limits as a player but talked about how he struggled alot with the pressure playing for Spurs. He used to stay up all night after a defeat worrying about his performance and any negative reports about his mistakes/fan pressure. Confidence being the one thing he strived hard to try and keep above all else.
  3. Ledley said he tried coaching but soon realised it wasn't for him. He couldnt believe how much work went into being a coach (let alone a manager). Loved being club captain of course
  4. Dawson mentioned how hard it was even training against Defoe. He felt if he could handle him in training then he could handle most premier league strikers.
  5. Teemu Tainio an absolute nutter
Definitely recommend seeing these guys if you get a chance
