«The one thing about Jose is that, away from the cameras and the training ground, he’s a lot of fun to be around," King reveals. "He genuinely is. He loves to have a laugh and tell stories – he’s got so many great stories. At dinner time, he makes everyone laugh, but then when it comes to the football side it’s very serious.»

I went to an evening with Ledley King a few months back and he said that the players didn't have a problem with Jose but that did with Joao Sacramento - they didn't get along - he was the link between the players and Jose and the link broke down.

I went along to the fans Q & A session with Ledley in Singapore last month and hes really a good speaker - answers a straight question with a straight answer, and not the usual sound bites to avoid any controversy. Seems to be the same here.
It was interesting when someone asked him who the best forward he played against was and he replied Henry (and I think that was reciprocated by Henry), but with the most difficult being Kevin Davies who he said wanted to turn everything into a fight!.
