I really wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Clasie coming in and Carroll/Clasie forming our two primary backup midfielders to Sandro and Dembele. But I do like that group you mentioned.

I'd be surprised if he left Sociedad now they're in the CL group stages. Maybe in January if we think we need him?

I can't see any way Sociedad selling him....but he is a wonderful, wonderful, player. His value is just going to sky rocket up from here once people across Europe get a better peak at him in the CL. I believe his release clause now is worth 30 million euros, and although I don't think we will go for it, he is worth every penny of that IMHO.

Does he tend to play on the left, or cut in from the right? If we do indeed tie up Lamela and Eriksen, this guy would seem a bit of a 'luxury' considering we have bigger gaps at left back and striker? But then I haven't seen him play so what do I know?

He's one of my favourite footballers, pace, energy, ball control and this kind of brashness that only few players have. He could be better than Bale.
I don't think this will happen, he will play in Champions League and with a team in which he's a star. He won't get this here. We should've bought him last year or we should buy him next year if we get to CL.
