Tottenham look set to appoint Arne Slot as their next manager with the Dutchman reportedly informing Feyenoord of his intentions to move to the north London club. Tottenham have been taking their time in finding Antonio Conte's permanent replacement.

Good News if correct. He seems a very personable chap, speaks well, will clearly relish the chance to manage Spurs and is our level (it's just my opinion but i want someone on the up from a lesser club, rather than Naglesmann who, like Conte, will be a bit surprised when they find out some of our players aren't as good as the ones they're used to coaching ).

It seems like a lot of fans are getting on board with the appointment, which will be absolutely crucial, so that's another big plus.

Finally, and it might seem a bit weird to say it, but Naglesmann will go to a 'big' club if he doesn't come here, whereas Slot could very well end up at West Ham or a similar PL club if we don't take him. It would be horrible to see Slot playing great football at West Ham unless we were absolutely smashing it under a new boss (50/50 at best !).

Probably stating the bleeding obvious now but was told an hour ago by someone very high up in the betting world (where a lot of reliable rumours get shared) that it's definitely going to be Slot.

I wanted Arne Slot as I've enjoyed watching Feyenoord this season. Admittedly only extended highlights but they have been so fleshing to watch, especially after the dull stuff we've had to endure in recently years.

What I would like to know though, does Arne improve individual players? I'm hoping hrs similar to Pochettino in this respect. Yes, we need wise recruitment of players but in addition the players who remain and our young development players who may train alongside the first team, will hopefully be improved too.

his skill is meant to be improving players, he gives very clear and simple instructions and players seem to love him, he reminds me of Jol and Poch

There is a good article on the athletic about him

The only negative I can see about appointing Slot is the perpetuation of these utterly shit puns we keep having to endure...

We can nick the England song........ Arne Army, Arne Army!

If the likes of Van de Vaart are recommending him lets embrace him. We are all bored with some of the dull stuff over the three seasons.
