Strategy? Seriously? We are in our fourth consecutive summer transfer window with a different manager. I don’t see anything particularly ’strategic’ about that!
To me, Conte is an example of “You can always rely on Daniel Levy to do the right thing - after he’s tried every possible alternative”. He’s employed rookies (Jol, Pochettino) and experienced managers (Redknapp, Mourinho) and pretty much everything in between.
Yes it’s good that things are looking up for us now. Long may it continue. But frankly it appears more that we’ve finally lucked out with Conte and Paratici now rather than seeing the culmination of a long term plan.
What utter nonsense. How can you possibly say appointing Paratici and Conte is luck. It’s obviously was a clear strategy decision. Jol Redknapp Pochettino you could definitely point to circumstance. But this was not luck.
