Another week, another story. Last week it was his heart op, this time it's how he met his wife.

It makes complete sense why they keep the tactical stuff out of the series but when they fill the gaps with odd anecdotes from the manager it really does him no favours.

The Edu/Aubamayeng stuff is relatively interesting though.

We would of won the league already, but the problem is City with their financial doping makes it that much harder. I’ll be surprised if we win the league in my lifetime to be honest.

We probably would have won it. But I won't be surprised if we do win it in the next decade with the stadium giving us the financial gain we've needed for a long time.

That was fun catching up on the last 10 pages. Meltdowns, ranting, shock and ridicule just what this thread should be.

On the expectations side most people expect Arsenal to be better this season but still mentally fragile/weak and switching off too often. I’ve got them comfortably in 5th a good 10pts below us & Chelsea but comfortably ahead of Utd.

I’m only two episodes into AoN and the main thing to jump out for me is just how timid a lot of their players are. Talent only gets you so far you need a bit of passion and desire to push you up that extra 1%.

Gotta say I think Arteta comes across very well in the first three episodes. I was surprised by how well he spoke and carried himself.

The thing I keep thinking about is when ours was released.

Arsenal fans everywhere were taking clips of it and making memes/taking the piss out of every second of it.

I haven't seen anything of that ilk from our fans at all.

They're such an insecure fanbase. Social Media FC.

Really?? I thought he was just one big cringefest.
Yeah, I appreciate I'm an outlier. But i was expecting someone totally out of his depth. He's clearly a bright guy and I thought the way he spoke about the importance of standards and attitude was impressive.

For example, with Smith-Rowe he told him that he wanted to hear about how he was as a person on loan. Not how well he played.

Sure, there's always a bit of cringe when it comes to motivational stuff. But I thought he handled Aubameyang the right way.

Auba was taking the absolute piss and he took k decisive action. That was a brave and bold thing to do.

Did it cost them goals? Probably. But leaving Auba to carry on the way he was would have created deeper problems in the squad.

I hate Arsenal as much as the next person, and Arteta does come out with some crap sometimes. But he clearly has something about him and they did well overall last season.

I think it does show he's out of his depth, there are no senior players or leaders in that team because of Arteta. He seems like a smart guy but he is speaking with his players like a PE teacher to primary school children. Stories about his heart disease, the war in Ukraine, or how he met his wife don't do it for me.

Other than that he seems like an ok guy and the part with his family was nice. But I think that's the picture that the directors want to paint.

It's understandable though. Their last trend is to say that Conte has to win the league to be a success if Son, Kane, Romero, and Kulu are as good as we are saying. This not only makes no sense but they are overhyping their entire team not just a few players, as they argue about us.

I can see why the youth are on board, very little life experience and hearing your manager say it was the "best week of my life" would probably have made me feel pretty good at their age. But the older you get the more you realize that the week leading up to the game against Norwich (I think?) was definitely not the best week of his life.

Any coincidence their ‘incredible half hour’ against Arsenal was when Arteta had COVID

Still find it funny when they say how great a player he was. Guy had zero senior caps at international level for Spain, even Bryan Gil has got four.

He was very good, if I remember correctly we (England) tried to get him play for us and the Spanish national team was pretty stacked at the time.

Arteta tried to force him to train when he had covid ffs! They had a massive falling out. It wasn’t one sided at all. He said he was fit to train and intimated the player was trying to dodge work when he was ill. That’s not on at all.

Fuck, no wonder they kept getting covid outbreaks. They clearly weren’t taking it seriously.
