Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell said Gabriel Jesus "is irreplaceable" after suffering a suspected hamstring injury.

The Brazil forward scored one and assisted another in Arsenal's 2-1 Champions League win over Sevilla on Tuesday, before being replaced on 81 minutes.

Campbell told BBC Radio 5 Live: "100%. If it is a tweak of the hamstring then you don’t take risks with it that’s for sure.

"Arsenal do have the players who can fill in, but Jesus really is irreplaceable because he makes everybody else better."

On the Gunners' front three, Campbell added: "It really does [look quite something]. Especially in the Champions League.

"Jesus brings so much to the table because he’s so unpredictable. You saw last night with Martinelli’s goal where one bit of skill and turn and that perfect pass can take five players out of the game.

I mean they were playing against a team they are horrendous in la liga. Plus played a passed it ramos and had a high line constantly with slow CBs. Seville caused arsenal so many problems too

"How many defenders in world football can do what Saliba did here"

How about every competent professional footballer on the planet?

Saliba is an excellent defender, but using this as an example of his greatness is beyond laughable.
Yeah that’s bread and butter stuff.

There was one going around the other day with Gerrard and long passes. Most were so poor the receiver had to work to keep the ball.

Wouldn’t be the first time Jesus recovered in three days.
