Tbh, as funny as it would be if giant head went there he probably would make them harder to beat. I don’t think they’ll get dragged into a proper relegation battle but if they do they’ll need someone like SA more than they’ll need Ljunberg.

But, in the immortal words of Jamie Carragher...

They were so abject. I know that was City, but the Gooner midfield was non existent. They just let City swan through them at leisure.

Its more damning of Man City that they didn't score 5 or 6.

Yeah I really thought (and hoped) that a good 6+goals was on the cards. I think if Leno doesn’t get his fingertips to KDB’s strike then it really would’ve been as their heads would’ve gone and the fans would’ve been poison (not that they aren’t already). Still should’ve been more than 3

City put the handbrake on after 3-0 and treated it as a training exercise. Who can blame them with the fixture period we're entering now.

More damning that Arsenal couldn't get a shot on target after City stopped treating the game seriously.

Will Arteta be good or not? I just cant form an opinion on him. They must get this appointment right

He's very highly rated at City and looks destined to be a great coach someday, but obviously has never managed before so a big risk. For both him personally and Arsenal.

From a Spurs fan point of view I'd much rather they appoint him than an Allegri, Ancelotti or Benitez.

As Carragher said yesterday, it's another rebuild job, not just a case of sorting out those that are there.
Allegri & Ancelotti haven't really ever worked on that sort of scale

Think Arteta is the best move for them in the long term, their team is utter shite so they might as well start the rebuild now, might mean a couple more years in the wilderness though.

They have to sell one of Aubameyang or Lacazette.

Two reasons - they don't seem to be able to play together, as both want to play centrall. They can't afford to have so much in the top of the pitch when they have a championship defence.

But selling one will hurt because both offer goals but you would think the goals should be coming from Pepe....the £80m superstar.

It's just an absolute shambles the way the club is being run. No identity / plan. I still to this day can't understand who made the decision David Luiz would solve the defensive issues.

It’s wonderful viewing, it really is, especially as their fans and the media were slapping themselves stupid spouting drivel such as, ‘Arsenal have won the transfer window!’

Ozil always seems to be in news for the wrong reasons too.

For someone of his ability he rarely seems to put in a top performance too, they are in a right mess.

I'm old enough to remember when people thought Brian Kidd, Steve McClaren and Carlos Queiroz were going to be good managers simply because they learnt under Ferguson. Roll on the Arteta at Arsenal era.
