We are not the Scum, we generallly don't let contracts run down any more unless we have reservations about the player (since having our fingers burnt with Scumball believe all contracts are re-negotiated early and often with options.)

My understanding is BAE's contract is to 2015

We wouldn't let BAE run into the last year of his contract. Not after the Sol debacle. He's not exactly predictable.

I think that's what I read at the time he signed the contract.

How do those contracts work?
4+2 in the way Levy does deals usually means that he signs for four years and we have an option to extend the contract for another two years should we want to. In BAE's case, I'm sure we already have.
That clown should be on the bench! Play Vert at left back.

shut up you wally
No! BAE is quality on his day but when he turns up half asleep he's a liability! To be a pro player your concentration levels should be switched on for 90mins. Something BAE can never do.

I think this will be BAE's last season as our leftback, or at least our first choice LB.
On his day he i svery good, and often the calmest player on the pitch, but he can be a liability. I know we havent been great on the whole this season, but I think he has looked especially poor and uneasy.

He's always been a bit of a marmite player, and has improved over the years. But I cant see AVB persuvering with a player he doesnt have full trust in. BAE to PSG in the summer? Would not surprise me one bit.

Both BAE and Walker have not been at their usual level this season so far but that is simply due to AVB trying to get his new system in place. The fullbacks are heavily involved in the system as a whole, being encouraged to attach and overlap, leaving the DM to cover in their absence. This will take time to develop, lets not right him off just yet please.

Its been documented that he has been playing in pain at the beginning of the season due to his knees, hence the operation. Couldnt this be a factor?
