I agree with almost everything said in this thread today. Feeling very optimistic -- what a shocker!

But I do not agree that Son has been poor. He was instrumental against Shaktar -- didn't score, but was heavily involved in everything.

Perisic is fantastic, and looks reborn. But I wouldn't be putting him ahead of Sonny just yet.

So two squad players vs a squad XI? You are way too pessimistic and overly negative.

They started quick and had the ball. Scored an early goal and I bet you and most were thinking "oh here we go". Then we got on the ball and pinned them back, figured out the defensive width and forced them to go back more often than not.

It's been impressive for an XI and a defense our fanbase would be worried about.
No I’m saying that the view of Spanish people watching the game alongside me in Mallorca is that they don’t rate those two specific players and that they feel in general the squad isn’t at full speed in terms of preparation for their season

Look so confident playing out there. Never saw such swagger under Conte despite trying for the same.
