Whose idea was it to play Barcelona less than a week before the start of the season? How can that be good for morale and confidence? Surely, the last game of pre season isn't the ideal time for this. You are meant to play Barca on some tour on a different continent and then come back to the Tottenham Stadium and beat an Italian CL team, who are a week or two behind in their preparations. This is like allowing your fiance to have a wedding night dress rehersal with John Holmes, whilst you watch.

I think it will be a great morale boast………for Ange. He will either learn something new or confirm what he already knows. We need to see these guys in a high intensity game against a strong opposition. No point playing Shrewsbury Town and whooping them 10-0 and then get done on our opening game.
