Nice to see that players are taking this prestigous trophy seriously. On a serious note we are doing much better than we should considering number of matches and time that Postecoglu had with them. I thought that Perisic would want to return to Hajduk and retire soon but he is playing like a man who wants to prove himself and take a spot from Son.
I disagree. Our squad has been way better than our performances for a couple of years now.?We’ve been cursed with high profile Managers, when we needed a quality Coach. I hate Conte with a passion, and all those who thought we needed that kind of leader, instead of a Potter-type.

So not seen any of tonight's game. Sounds like Biss, Skipp, Lo Celso are having great games. We also had Maddison and Sarr have great games on Sunday along with Holberg. Great options, along with Bentancur (who is def 1st on team sheet IMO when he is back) Anyone want to try and predict our midfiield 3 for Brentford :)
Will it be just like it was Sunday, or will any of the ones playing today force there way in

Sanchez has been magnificent. Honestly believe he could be a very useful alternative for us, if he stays. Not a popular opinion with the «ffs Sanchez» crowd, but I’ll stand by my words.
He has actually been good on the ball too. I know it's only pre-season but Sanchez is showing what happens if you play him in a style that suits playing football. Less pressure on the defence, and more options to pass into spaces

Impressed with how we keep them in their own half without the ball, great pressing and love how much quicker we move the ball ourselves. Even when we get a free kick we want to take it quick. Nice half, Bissouma looking top class and just no words for Skipp getting 2 goals.

Might be a bit Captain Obvious but Bissouma absolutely has to be nailed on for the number 6 role in this team.

Everyone else is fighting for the two number 8 roles.

Looking at the score line I can only assume we signed a new attacker named Olijandro Skipp

LoCelso and Bissouma the picks for me so far.

I love Bissouma's calmness and ability to create space where seemingly none exists; the latter a definite trait that Dembele had.

Honestly I'm torn between anger that we spent the last four years being told we couldn't play like this and just utter joy that we've shown we can within a matter of weeks. I know it’s pre season but it’s such a refreshing change of mindset, and it’s something to believe in going forward. It'll lose some games, but we were losing games last season.

No one is prepared for the age of Ange. What a fucking fella.
It's the problem when you have an attacking squad and appoint a defensive coach

Don't want to jinx it but if we win, doesn't that mean we've won 2 cups (Tiger, Gamper) before the season ever started? We are sending a message to HK. Zero doubt.

In all seriousness, if HK believed in his teammates before and AC and JM sapped the belief out of him, this has to be weighing in on him.

You can have a perfect squad but it normally takes a long time to play anything resembling proper tactics and style. Especially when it's opposite of what you had to do for more than couple of years. Even with peak Poch things would go to shit when we would bench few players in Cups, any combo so far was able to follow the instructions for the most part. Only preseason I know, but still.

Shaky start, but grew into the game. Sanchez especially.

What this tells me is we don't need too much more. This would be a League cup XI essentially and they're showing they can play against top opposition. I don't care that it's pre-season. It's still a very strong Barca XI.

Suffice to say this isn't how I imagined our second XI would be performing against Barca's first XI.

Mind. Blown.

Again let’s wait and see
Agree he has looked like a new player in preseason

I like Sanchez , always have , utter professional in the face of major trolling and 4 years with managers inviting pressure on the defence to prove to the board he’s not good enough and needs replacing - hope he does well now
