• Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all locked in a battle to clinch the signing of Real Betis midfielder Benat.
  Benat, 25, has been earning rave reviews in Spain and has also attracted interest from Spartak Moscow and Wolfsburg.
  The talented midfielder is rated as one of the best players in La Liga and looks certain to make a big money move in 2013.
  Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with his signature in the past while Manchester City are also considering a move in January.
  Spanish newspaper AS also claims that Tottenham have been monitoring his progress and the north London club could make an offer next month if they miss out on Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
  Real Betis will not want to see one of their star performers leave the club but they are prepared for a bidding war to take place when the transfer window re-opens.​

He would be a good alternative to Moutinho, started watching more of Betis this year after reading good things about him from people on here, always been the best player on the pitch when I've watched him. Not sure who I'd rather out of him or Moutinho, doubt we're really after him though.

7 minutes of passes not making their target, simple flicks and backwards passes..

not much, no. But i do know he doesnt score enough for a 20m player. we need to replace vdv not modric imo. dembele does what he does. Take bale out of the team and we only really have defoe who scores. and for me we need a player in the middle with better goal ratio.

Dembele doesn't make the passes that Modric used to, the "assist assists". Somebody needs to be playing Bale and Defoe onto balls behind defenses or we will continue to fail to break down teams that pack the box like Stoke.

we never broke those teams down with modric in the team!! We have struggled doing that for a while. A Fat Frank in our team has the potential to win a game in a single 20 yard strike. ( obviously not fat frank but you know what i mean.)

Yep, having someone like Benat/Moutinho would speed up our passing, set up better moves, which would then create more opportunity's to score goals. Plus you've got the set-pieces they provide.
