Something is seriously fucked up with our attitude to a competition if we start a stronger side in the group stages against also-rans from the back of beyond than the knockout stages against elite European opposition.

Seriously worrying.

I just think that despite what poch has said about taking both competitions as serious as each other, it's obvious by tonight's lineup that our priority is now the Prem.

some seriously over the top reactions
fantastic season - brilliant young team
recognition among many that depth isn't there and players are v tired so Poch hand is forced and plays some of our next best against a very good team
and people start saying very silly things.

Who would make us better tonight?
Dier - run into ground needs rest
Alli - suspended
Kane - run into ground needs rest
Rose - carrying a knock but would be rotated anyway
Dembele - just back from an injury
Walker - would be rotated anyway

Only flag is what is going on with Nabil.

Can Poch be blamed if Mason (starter last season) is off form, Son is off form, CE had a stinker?

With games against villa and Bournemouth after the Dortmond games we could have played our best 11 and a weakened side against villa and Bournemouth
Villa definitely. Probably not Bournemouth. Bournemouth are a decent side and are playing much, much better than they were when we last faced them.

Poch is well within his rights to focus on the best chance we've had to win the PL since its inception over not-yet-the-QF-in-second -tier-Euro-comp

We'll see come May I guess. If we end up well off the pace then questions will be raised.

Some worrying stats kicking around highlighting that Poch teams tend to fall away starting about now.

I still worry about top 4.

Gutting to think we were "gunning for a treble" only two weeks ago. Now it's down to an apparent title challenge.Truth is, the title race isn't even beginning yet.
I hope we stick with it but now I'm half expecting to witness the most 'spursy' finish to a season ever
As fans, we're sometimes just as Spursy in our pessimism!
