Bournemouth have lost 6 of their 7 Premier League meetings with us (D1), netting just two goals in those matches. We have won 2 of our 3 PL away games against Bournemouth, winning 5-1 in 2015-16 and 4-1 last term. The other match finished 0-0.
We average 3.1 goals per game in the PL against Bournemouth (22 goals in 7 games), our best such record against any side in the competition. Bournemouth are winless in 5 PL home games (D2 L3), losing the last 2 in a row. They last lost 3 consecutively at the Vitality Stadium in April 2016. They have never lost their last home game of the season, drawing once and winning twice. The last time they lost their final home game in a league campaign was in 2010-11 in League One (1-2 vs Rochdale).
Until the end of January, we had won more away games (11) gained more away points (33) and scored more away goals (30) than any other PL side this season. Since then, we are one of just two sides not to earn a single point on the road along with Huddersfield (L5). We have lost 12 PL games this season, last losing more in a single campaign (15). Only 2 teams have ever lost more than 12 PL games and still finished in the top 4 – Chelsea in 1997 – 98 (15) and Everton in 2004 – 05 (13).
Son has scored 5 goals in his last 4 PL games against Bournemouth – against no side has he scored more in the competition (also 5 vs Watford). Eriksen has either scored or assisted a goal in 6 of our 7 previous PL meetings with Bournemouth (3 goals 4 assists). The only game in which he didn’t ended 0-0 in October 2016.
Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last 9 PL games scoring 6 and assisting 4.
