Lucky to go into the break even if we're honest. Brentford have been better in every department.

But some promising patterns of play, a few decent performances by new faces. Fully expecting a better performance in second half.

People need to realize that bad defending is not OK in any circumstances I don’t care how many goals we score. We are so open and that is a horrible way to win matches
We haven't defended that badly. The high line is dangerous but it was the softest penalty you'll ever see and it'll be the last one like that you'll see this season. And they were lucky with their second goal. We've largely defended well I think

How many identical chances do we want to give them?
I observed this watching ange’s Celtic in the CL last season they conceded a lot of goals with huge spaces in behind replicas it’s just the nature of the system.

But they had the likes of carter vickers and jo hart etc.

The aim is if we have better faster defenders and midfielders who keep the ball better and have more quality to create and score then we will offset the risks of the system.

Ange’s philosophy is like Puskas when he was managed by him “we will score more than you” if we win 5-4 then fine.

Will take some time for us to settle into it just like it did for Celtic (the lost 3 of first 6 games under Ange) but when it clicks with all the pieces and a bit of time we will absolutely rout some teams and control and win a lot of games.

Celtic got 99 pts and scored 116 goals last season most in Europe I believe.

Brentford are so well organised and such a threat on the break. Such a tough test for our newly implemented style of play.
We look like the football team on the Simpson’s episode at the moment. Full back passes to centre, passes to fullback, passes to centre.

The cutting edge will come though

Need to ditch the high line for the second half. Until the back 4 become comfortable with each other it’s suicidal. If it persists in the second half we just need to hope our front 3 wake up and we outscore Brentford

That was bang on 11 mins, didn't they say that there would be more if there's goals or subs during injury time?
There should be but 11 was enough. A lot of work to be done on our defending. Especially if we are gonna be as open as this.

As others said the wingers aren't a great fit for this way of playing. Hopefully Ange can rip into them.

Well, that was exciting. Nice to see us dominate possession and the midfield. Good set-piece and nice goal from Emerson. Definitely a good platform to build on. Don't get all the moaning here. Ange has to be given time to adjust and tweak. It won't happen over night.

They scuppered their chance to go ahead and will get trounced in the second half
