And if he wasnt bailed out at the end it would all have been for nothing. Football is a harsh game. You cant give it away that casually

It was tiredness though, not through casual play.

The lad played 120 minutes just a couple of days ago and this was his 3rd game in less than a week. Considering he had very little rest during the summer, then I think he deserves a lot of slack.

Well that was after this game. A fact in early February is subject to change - that is a fact today (based on the BBC anyway). How ”shit the league is”?but that is the league we are playing in. What do you want us to do - shift to Serie A? With this injured spent squad Jose has been the third best in the league. Deserves a bit of credit.

You missed the point. We were there early Feb too, since when we’ve gained one more point. So yes he’s taken more points than anyone else bar those - but not recently. It’s a fact, but a slowly decaying fact, and most of the good work was done months ago.

Is the squad injury spent or are the players running on fumes? I’m lost in a mist of excuses at the moment

He should keep it behind closed doors. But maybe he's bollocked him enough times and he just hasn't got the message.

I don't blame Jose because it's clear he's got a point. The bloke isn't fit and the team really needs him to be right now. It's unprofessional, totally unprofessional at this stage. I'm 100% expecting him to get his arse in gear next season and if he doesn't then he should go because that's not what we need here at Spurs.
Personally I don’t think it’s a fitness issue, rather a mentality one. I get the feeling he doesn’t like the rough and tumble of the Prem, not the pace.
We’re I a midfielder playing him I’d be looking to put one on him early doors, knowing he’ll disappear soon after that.

He has everything in his locker, but he needs to man up and put a shift in.

Well If your point is decay I would think that there are inevitably going to be some troughs considering we have lost Sonny since his last minute Villa winner and results have tanked since then. We have to consider the concept of performance cumulatively - it can’t be based on one month of a three/four month stint.

Spent - I meant on fumes. Thought it was obvious today but I may be wrong

Haven't been on the thread but I came across this post
I'm glad to see Lamela, Ndombele and Skipp start. That's about all I can say
All three substituted, sorry Ghost Hardware it just tickled me.:)
I haven't seen the game I listened on the radio but obviously we were third best in a game of two teams first half and way better in the second. As others have said we can't play three at the back successfully but as I see it to play that way you need good wingbacks and we don't have them so it's doomed to failure whatever else happens. completely different system second half and it paid off.
I am now going to wait to see what system with which we approach Tuesday's game before I say anything further.

What was his excuse against Wolves then? He just came on the pitch and their player just waltzed passed him. This isn't a reaction of today it's a culmination of events which has happened during the season, it's just not good enough, sorry.

Edit - Just realised you were talking about GLC, sorry :D

At the moment I would say Jose's biggest weakness is not setting up correctly from the start

Judging by his post match comments our midfielders weren’t capable of playing more then 45 mins
