Can you see Zokora getting back in the team?

He'll get games. He is a very mobile and effective midfielder. I think he is underrated

Funnily, having been one of Zoko's biggest critics almost from the start, I feel perversely compelled to defend the guy.

Given a strictly limited brief, I think he could do fine, provided he's slapped around the head a few times to make sure he understands what he's supposed to be doing. I certainly preer him to that wanker Sissoko, to whom Juve are very, very welcome. If Juande and Gus can get him playing to his real strengths he could still be a very valuable squad member.

If Ramos thinks Zoko has a future at the club then fair enough, but I don't feel he is better than TT. About Sissoko, he was playing very well then he got that eye injury and hasn't looked the same player since and even Liverpool fans were turning against him at the end. If Juve can get him to reproduce the form that he showed early on his Liverpool career, then he'll be a good player for them.

To be honest, I think all of our midfielders Jenas included (yes I know he has improved a hell of a lot and I think he works outrageously hard for the team) have a lot to prove in order to stay in the first team plans. I honestly think this is where Juande is going to focus come the summer, and I don't mean just in terms of personnel, but also in terms of style of play etc. You can already see the difference with the pressing and the movement, but I think come the end of the summer our midfield is going to be a whole different animal and one that can take us on to bigger and better things.

For now I think Zokora has a place and certainly his physical attributes lend themselves to Ramos' high tempo all action philosophy, so I certainly think he will be in and around the team for the rest of the season. After that who knows.

He'll go straight in back and will be used on rotation with hudd i reckon.

Had a very good tournament so far, for what is one of the best teams. I think he's been getting a lot better this season too

Maybe it was the eye injury, but unless you're Spursking and have the hours in the day to watch every player in every match in every league in Europe you're largely restricted to MOTD, which isn't really the best basis on which to judge players*. I saw Liverpool v. Marseille and Sissoko was quite unbelievably bad.

As a makeshift CB under Juande, Zoko's done well; as the back of a diamond under Jol, he also did well. The big question is, can he work in a regular 4-4-2?

Zokora simply isn't the player we hoped. Commoli is absolutely in love with the guy, but ultimately he isn't good enough to play CM, although he may be good enough to play in the center of defence.

Would you care to expand on that? Or maybe offer a scrap of proof?

either way zokora isnt where we need to be. and maybe apart from jenas, it could be anyone else dependant on the opposition

I think IOMLS is right, and in fact we've had ITK from BEN (which you may choose to believe or dismiss out of hand according to taste) that Juande is unhappy with the quality of the entire midfield. It isn't just Zokora that will have to prove that he's good enough to be here next season.

I'm one of the harshest critic of Zokora. Hopefully Ramos can fix his positioning, awareness, mental quickness, tackling and passing.

I agree with the people on here who say he will rotate JJ's partner, I'm sitting here thinking that I like Zokora and he's a decent player, but then thinking I would play Tainio away from home and Hudd at home because he doesn't seem as if he's a specialist at anything.

Maybe if he could improve his shooting, he and JJ could work as two box to box midfielders; he seems to manage to get forward when he wants to, especially for the Ivory coast.

Most of my friends are Liverpool fans so I've watched some games from time to time with them. They have watched him much more than I have. I know they were happy with him early on his career.
I think Mascherano coming in also has a affect on his form as it meant he was no longer playing regularly.

I don't see Zoko playing any more at center back, we have a lot of cover there now. I think his days are numbered unless Ramos has another role for him to play in the team.

Time will tell, i know what i think, from the selection policy of successive coaches I know what they think and then I know what the majority of the forum think. I'm happy to be on the expert's side of the argument

I want Juande to build his team around Hudd. He brings so much more to the team than Zokora ever will.. And Tainio can come in and play in tough away matches and Cup Finals
