Porto got a tough draw with Roma.

Would expect City to beat Steau Bucharest.

TEAMS TO ENTER IN GROUP STAGE
Pot 1: Real Madrid (holders), Barcelona, Leicester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, PSG, CSKA Moscow
Pot 2: Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Sevilla, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen
Pot 3: Olympiakos, Dynamo Kiev, Lyon
Pot 4: Besiktas

Pot to be determined: FC Basel, Tottenham Hotspur, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Club Brugge
Personally I want:
  • Barca
  • Napoli
  • Us
  • Non-rubbish team

While I believe we could compete with Juve or PSG on our day, drawing them in pot 1 would mean we're likely to get Madrid, Sevilla or Dortmund from pot 2 and I'd rather have a glamour tie against Barca than Real coming and getting bored by the Ronaldo v Bale circus. Also don't want Benfica or Moscow as this is the champions league and I want big names and glory nights not 'meh' ties.

Last time we had a tough group and still made it through in style.

I can't work out if Leicester being seeded in pot 1 is laughable, or actually good
It's excellent imo, since this is the Champions League and they are actually Champions of something.

I think you do Benfica a disservice - they're a club with European pedigree, like Ajax or even ourselves.

I think Barca, Bayer Leverkusen and PSV would be a pretty good mix

Good club with good proud history but personally I see them as a top EL team rather than a top CL team.

City have announced Stones on their team list submitted to UEFA for their champs league squad, despite him still being a Toffee o_O

Just had a look on the UEFA site though, deadline for squads was last night, ours is not there yet... come on, UEFA web-nerds, get on it!

Surely we don't need to register a UEFA squad yet as we're not in a play-off round.

I heard that UEFA did ours and listed Janssen as squad number 9 and Wanyama as 12 for us, which we haven't announced yet either. Not exactly earth shattering but someone on the website team is getting fired this morning after the Stones fuck up.

No one should get sacked- City had registered him before the deadline.
