Pathetic performance.

Nothing brave about that, too many just milling about like it doesn’t matter. Too many hiding when we’re in possession. It’s incredible how you just feel like we are never going to win these games, you just never fancy us away to any of the rest of the top 6.

The ironic thing will be we will pick up some points and reel Chelsea back in again over the next few weeks because they really aren’t that good either. We just never have the mentality, the players or the mindset to capitalise on any chance we give ourselves.

We never looked like winning that today, not once. We only started playing in the last ten or so minutes. Own goal makes the game look closer than it was, the only way we were scoring today was Chelsea putting one in their own net.

I hate this season. Everything about it has been shite. Literally can’t wait for it to just end and let us start getting a rebuild together. GLC, Kane, Son, Tanganga, they can all stay, but I’m already struggling with any further names after that as of late. Dont get me wrong I love Lamela but let’s face it, there’s a good chance of seeing a report in between now and our next game saying he’s a doubt with an injury...

Just no good feeling at the moment. Literally wishing the season away.

**Edit - Apologies, forgot Sanchez who has been much better in recent weeks.

yeah but we have 3 injured players guys.

I bet Klopp would be all about the antifootball longball stuff if he had 3 first team players out.

Understandable setting up to frustrate in a 2 legged tie but against Chelsea we dont need to play like that. Be organised sure but we should be getting in to them from the off.

Doesn't help that we were shit on the ball until Lamela came on.
The only thing I'd say is that starting with high intensity after a CL tie would have caused us to tire really quickly.

There isn't a huge amount mourinho can do really. We can't play out from the back because our players cannot control and pass the ball under pressure and we don't really have an obvious target man to play the ball to help establish possession to get us up the pitch.

Mourinho up to now has been pretty decent tactically. Today was fucking awful. 5 at the back had to end at half time, it doesn't even work unless the fullbacks are decent getting forward. Vertonghen staying on despite being a liability. So so long to make a change. So so long to get Alli on. Then Aurier of all people. If Aurier is your answer to being 2 down with 20 mins to go then you know you've got fucking problems.
Yes, we do have problems. Namely, the last manager decided we didn't need any form of backup striker. The only alternative to Aurier were central mids - he was the most attacking sub we had left. How you can blame that on Mourinho after a single transfer window is beyond me.

The fact José came out and said that if we finish top 4 this season it will be his biggest accomplishment. This man has won the cl and premier league. That just goes to show how much of a challenge this is going to be as a club. Least we got 40 points (y)

How parrot is not ready is beyond me. That Haaland for Borussia is 10 months older and he’s playing every fecking game for them
WWWW
TTTTTT
FFFFFF
Is going on

different players mature at different times, haaland is a physical freak which makes his translation to senior football easy. parrott obviously a different story

Sorry but Kane is a huge part of the problem. Undroppable for all the wrong reasons meaning we have no back up as no one will come. Tell Me now we would be worse off with Piątek or Giroud.
How our best player in 50 years in any way, shape or form could possibly be part of any 'problem' is very interesting, not going to lie. It's not on Kane that Levy hasn't brought in a back-up striker - That no striker in the world would be willing to fight for his place as a back-up is the biggest myth going in the Spurs fanbase as well. Look at basically every team around us, as well as in foreign leagues. No problem at all.
