Wonder if they'd accept it if a bid around 20m came in for him in January. Can a team like Leicester afford to turn it down?

I like him though, doubt he'd go onywhere to sit on the bench. Likes his football too much.

Think this was a subject of discussion on MOTD the other night.
He's in an ideal position now, at a mid-table club, where he is the star player getting all the plaudits.
They weren't even sure a big club would make a move for him as they don't think his all round game is good enough add anything to a top 6 side.
He would also find himself sitting on the bench for the majority of the time.

They might not want him but the CL clubs (and the media) will want to unsettle him and get Leicester out the top 4.
He'll be linked with a big club and the big money that goes with it, but they will have no intention of making a fair offer. Vardy becomes resentful towards Leicester and the players resentful towards him.
Job done.

I don't think so although there is always the chance that Man City would be dumb enough to jump. I think he's a guy with good ability going through a purple patch like Michu was.

I think he has way more to his game than Michu, people said the same of Kane last season. Some players mature later, Ian Wright for example, his pace a electric, he scores from all areas and has great strength as well. His only downfall is he plays for an unfashionable club

Kane is a different case entirely last season was his first full premiership season and he's still young. Wright was pretty prolific at Palace, scoring over 20 goals twice and 19 goals once in his time at palace. Vardy has only been prolific at fleetwood town, he scored 5 goals last season. There is always the chance you could be right but he's 29 years old next y january, for a club to take a chance and spend 20 mil on him is dumb.

Of course I couldn't agree more with a 20 mil bid but if he is snapped up for 10? And you had 2-3 seasons of 15-20 goals then I think he would be worth a punt

They only get pizza for clean sheets, and they've only had two all season (v Palace and Newcastle)! Think they've got some other substances up there that are working for Vardy.
Uh oh, things are about to go Reddit on here.

If this lasts the whole season - I mean him running around like a lunatic for 90 minutes week in and week out then things that make you go hmmm. He's always been able to score a goal tbf but he's in one of his purple patches right now.

The longer he keeps doing this and keeping Leicester at the top, the better. We only need to win it by one point....

I love the fact that when he gets the ball at his feet, all Vardy sees is the net. No mucking about with that passing lark, he's going to take on his man and he's going to shoot because fuck you, he's a striker.

Would be a total liability in a team that requires discipline and a striker that doesn't mind tracking back, or working as a playmaker, but Leicesters midfield work bloody hard to feed him and, so far, he's delivering big steaming piles of goals.

Good luck to him, fully deserves all of the praise he will receive, and who's to say it's stopping there? That said, I wouldn't want him anywhere near our squad.

Brilliant for Vardy. I love it. I wonder if the United fans had the class to applause like the barcodes?

Kane and Vardy up front for England would do a lot of damage.
He's too undisciplined & selfish to play up top with a partner really - right at this moment he csnt put a foot wrong, sure, but it's unsustainable

Not sure I agree with that
Which part? Undisciplined & selfish or unsustainable?
The latters self evident - the former is admittedly based on not that much, I've honestly not watched the guy much until recently & perhaps it's because it's currently justified given his form

All of it, I think this season he's been given more instructions Ranieri to play on the shoulder and be the 'main man' where as last season he was totally unselfish as he used to pass up opportunities although I think a lot of that is down to confidence if you compare to this season.

He still works hard for the team so you cannot call him selfish and I think the only way that he won't sustain is form is if he starts to get double marked and teams drop their defensive lines back 10 yards.

Scoring in 11 straight games is unsustainable, especially given Vardy's age and track record. Unless of course you think Vardy is on the level of Cr7 or Messi then yea, scoring in every game is sustainable.

As said before I think he may shock a few in a big deal. He has done bloody well. Deserves a lot of credit.
