It seems likely. But I have this nagging feeling that if all the Prem clubs, with all the access to technology they have now to pick apart Leicester's tactics and the tactical nous of all the opposing managers haven't found them out this season, what logical argument is there to suggest that will happen next year?

There is nothing to pick apart. They stick 10 men behind the ball and hit with a very quick 3 man counter attack. Fitness levels will I'm sure, affect those front three next season when they are asked to play twice a week.

Leicester are now champions and have been presented with the trophy but I have to admit I feel totally underwhelmed with it. Obviously I am seriously pissed off that they stopped us winning the league but beyond that my main emotion is, so what! They are a nothing club having their moment and will soon go back to obscurity. All their new found fans will piss off and normal service will be resumed. At the end of the day the only people it really matters to is ther small band of fans. The 'whole world' will not remember them in two years let alone one hundred. COYS.

They don't stick 10 men behind the ball. Their possession stats look worse than reality because so many teams try and play possession football now and Leicester simply have allowed the opposition to retain possession in non threatening areas.

Leicester DO attack in numbers. They are not a negative team. But what Leicester do when they lose the ball is very Italian in style. They don't try and hold a higher line and press to win it back. They drop straight back into a defensive shape, become very difficult to break down. They also conserve energy because they aren't obsessed with the high press.

As soon as Leicester have the ball they pour men forward. If they do have possession in the final third they have demonstrated they can play very intricate attractive one touch football.

They simply play the way a lot of teams used to play. Burkinshaw's Spurs team played like it for a while. Crooks & Archibald stretched the depth and when we won the ball back we'd get it to Hoddle who would ping long balls over the top for the very fast Crooks and Archibald to chase on to.

Buster Douglas it may be, but they're very worthy champions and part of me thinks its hilarious that they've stuck two fingers up at the football fashionista who are obsessed with the Barca high press, 4-2-3-1, tika taka. Because when that doesn't work it is far more boring to watch than Leicester have been.

If we had won the league a lot of opposition fans would be saying the same about us. Would you think they were right? Or would you think they were arrogant?

It's an amazing story. No they aren't great champions compared to some of the great teams of the past. But guess what. If we had won the title, we wouldn't have been either. Hell, I still maintain the current Spurs side is the 3rd or 4th best we've had in our Premier League history. Better Spurs teams than this one have gotten nowhere near the title.

We are greatly diminished by being bitter, jealous and resentful (as some of our fans seem). Good on 'em. Let's see if we can do the same in future. Ranieri is a model of decency and grace. Not crass and horrid.

Envious as shit for them

Luckily for them though they have zero derbies to play and we have at least 6 games a season where the oppo and fans are well up for it. Plus the fact that we are a 'big' club so 'small' clubs raise there game

Basically they had it easy and I should have seen it all along. 5000/1, what were they thinking!!!!

Mind you I had them to be relegated at the beginning of the season :)

I thought about putting money on them to win the CL next season. Odds not that great though, now... (well, 60-1!). I would happily put money on Man City to fall outside top 6, likewise Man U. Can see both ourselves and Leicester having another great season.

I think they will do well in europe, smash it long and run on to it...I dont think many teams will be setup to defend that, worked in our league.

Recent results have showed that they are indeed worthy champions. They've been far better than us at seeing games out and not letting teams back into the game once they got ahead. True, they haven't really battered many teams in the same way we have, but I haven't seen them lose control of games in the same way we have. So good luck to them. I hope they can stay around the top 6 for a while and develop as a club - as long as it's not at our expense again.
