I honestly think the fans will flick a switch once Levy is gone. It's all pent up frustration from the last 10 years. Very powerful for any new manager that's there when the change happens. Will be reminiscent when of when Newcastle ridded themselves of Ashley.
Perhaps you're right, but Newcastle fans were quite right to be miserable under Ashley, he was running their club into the ground. Levy's biggest sin is undoing some (but by no means all) of the impressive progress we've made since he came in.

na we used to win FA Cups and UEFA Cups. And before you say I am referring to the football not the business.

The odd cup here and there while being overall pretty crap, if we’re honest - think we qualified for the UEFA Cup once in the decade before ENIC came in. I personally wouldn’t go back to consistently midtable in return for trophy once a decade - which is the rate we’ve won them at historically!

Before enic you didn't make Europe for finishing 7th.

Why is cold hard truth controversial? Unfortunately, in this forum and among most Spurs fans that is the case.

My controversial opinion is that most people reading my words here have sucked up a narrative and completely lost their grip on reality.

Before ENIC you didn’t have to worry about foreign billionaires pouring blood money into clubs.

Also, we’ve qualified for Europe by finishing 7th once, so it was hardly a major factor in our decade+ of European nights.

Playing against second rate teams from Lichtenstein is hardly an achievement. Can't believe there are still people drinking from the enic cool aid.

Well, we also made a Champions League final! But of course you’re focusing on the one season we were in the Conference League - not disingenuous at all, that…

Yeah see, I wasn’t counting the second division titles as major honours! I also went back all the way to 1882 when the club was formed, rather than starting in 1900.

I started in 1900 as I didn't include the last 22 years under ENIC
Which is why I didn't include our League Cup win in 2008

That evened it up

Seems kind of arbitrary to me. It’s either things before enic, or it’s not. The club started in 1882 not 1900. And as has been pointed out winning division 2 isn’t a major honour. Might as well have included the Audi cup and Peace Cup.

Whilst I don't want Mason to be our manager next season, I would rather him than Amorim, Glasner or anyone else who plays 3 at the back.

I think bringing in a manager who exclusively plays 3 at the back right now is the worse decision we could make.

Unpopular Opinion (that’s also the wrong one): I was convinced Frank De Boer was going to revolutionize our club and that we made the wrong decision with Pochettino.

The only positive is that De Boer would’ve kept my expectations at championship quality.

The stats aren't that much different really before or after Enic, are they. A couple of meaningless League Cup wins and there would be nothing to moan about. Apart from one season, we've never really torn it up in our history.

I would trade places with Leicester and taken a league and FA Cup even if it meant a couple of seasons in the championship.

Generally I'd agree it would be great to have the success, but they were a Championship team as recently as 2014 so I doubt going down hurts them as much as it would us.

A good coach could get us into the CL next year without major surgery to the squad (provided Lenglet is replaced)
