No different to Bentley going there on loan before he got injured.

It kind of is. Bentley failed to establish himself in all years he was here, then had a failed loan in the Prem.

Charlie was our CL right back less than a year ago and is far far better than championship level.

A little different

Bentley had just had a pretty unsuccessful loan spell at Birmingham so maybe he was not attractive to PL teams, plus his high wage meant people didn't want to take a risk on a play who had proved himself ineffective in the PL for the last few years.

West Ham were eager to get back up and probably saw Bentley as the type of player who would be too good for that level and have a Taraabt effect for them.

Plus for Bentley it enabled him to stay in London and being a loan it was no reduction in wage for him.

Corluka however would probablys still be desirable to a lot of PL sides and has always proved himself a solid and steady performer, he is only not in our side now because of the emergence of Walker (who is now knocking on the ENgland team door and being touted for clubs like Real)

Notice Harry said in an article published by the Indie this evening that he only has one RB....in Kyle Walker.

For all we know West Ham have made a bid and we've accepted, Corluka might laugh it away.

I imagine the likes of QPR/Fulham would also be interested, both London based teams but it depends what he wants. I imagine West Ham would say "Guarenteed first team football, we'll match your wages if we are promoted (likely) and you get to stay in London".

Corluka has been slipping big time. He was starting to be replaced by Kaboul towards the end of last season, and hasn't had a look in this season. Plus he looked extremely average in the Europa League. He reminds me of Chimbonda, who at one point looked a very good right back but ended up looking like a Championship level player.

As far as needing regular first team football at a lower level in order to get back to some sort of form, it's a similar situation to Bentley.

His legs have gone imo. Probably found his level tbh.

I'm more annoyed we cant get Naughton back. I suspect we will be getting a cb, hopefully samba, and Kaboul will Walkers cover.
