I'll believe it when it's in a reputable paper, the Fail on Sunday clearly picked up on AVB's comment in his pre match presser when he stated that he isn't aware of any contract talks.

The problem is that the English press are so fucking dense that they don't realise that AVB isn't some antiquated manager that gets involved in things that are outside of his area of expertise. Contracts are left to the Managing Director/Chairman, Finance department, Lawyers and agents.

personally i believe it's true and i couldn't blame him. if you're one of the best players in the world why stick at a europa league club whose aim is to finish 4th each season.

Great language. If there is any truth in it at all, by offering him an improved contract wee're "attempting to bribe" Bale.
any salary is a bribe. Would you go to work for free?!

This is a load of shit complete guesswork from the Mail.

However, I wouldn't take it for definite he is here next season, even if we got CL football.

I would

Can't see him uprooting his family to Madrid

United couldn't afford him, Levy won't do business with Chelsea and City have other areas of the pitch that need sorting

The DM/MoS is slipping in their journalistic standards. Not once do they mention the value of his home. tsk tsk.

the daily mail is a very right wing paper which supports a right wing team with a racist captain!!!

Hence the sport editor "arranged" for modric to be on abramovic's boat and the mail had exclusive pictures.

can't expect them to be positive about a left winger, then. Even though he's moved more into the middle.

I agree. Why stay in England with the way referees treat him and no public support for him from the Club regarding the ridiculous bookings for alleged simulation ?
