So far. Darren Lewis definitely has some links inside the club though...Is it only the Mirror reporting this?

Bet their thinking - who the fuck is this little bald nutter
Let's just hope they don't think "Who the fuck are you to take the piss out of the mighty Barca? Oh yes, that's right you're the partner club of our hated rivals and Francoist sons of pig dogs Real Madrid, I think we'll sell him to someone else now thank you very much"Got to laugh at DL - grabbing the balls of Barca like their Bury
Man utd will tell you they got the players, ok they may have paid more than they wanted but the numerous titles and CL qualification justifies that.Levy doesn't do the mighty Barca thing he plays the player not the club, are they as good business men as him or not if not they shouldn't be trying it on with him Barca or Bury, Man Utd will tell you that.
Step outside football for a minute and most of those people aren't in the same league as Daniel Levy.
I would say the money they want is fair, but I can see that even if we can shave 1 or 2 million off, then that will sit much better when paying him his wage..
Problem with this is, it's a fine line between haggling, and annoying.. Previously this has turned out good (VdV & Lloris) and bad (Moutinho & PEA) for us.
Personally, on this one, I'd have bitten the bullet last week and agreed the deal, therefore having him here for maximum exposure for the kit launch today, along with Bale, Paulinho and Lloris (prob Dempsey too, for the 'Merican fans).
Agree, he'll bring a lot to the table. Exception to the rules on pure monetary value is surely justified on the davids/villa type of signing. Good to watch what we spend in general of course.Levy just needs to get this deal done, 8.6m for a player of villas class is a more than fair price.
I know there is no sell on but what he brings on and off the pitch makes him a bargain.
On sport.es they're saying Villa may be included in a Rooney deal...

But we don't want rooney.
It's Barca that wants Rooney (well according to sport.es)
You assume we didn't want man Utd to have berbatov when utd tried to fleece us by not making any official bid waiting until the last minute, Levy went public called them out £30m+ or fuck off you never get him. Lets be honest I don't know any Spurs fans who thought the money we got for carrick at the time was too low. They had the money he wanted it he got it.Man utd will tell you they got the players, ok they may have paid more than they wanted but the numerous titles and CL qualification justifies that.
We can brag about fleecing man utd out of a few extra quid, they can brag about success.
Carrick looks a bargain now anyway.
The point is there Is no need to squeeze barca, the money they want is more than fair.
