He’s best as a shadow striker. I’ve tried and tried to figure him into a best XI the way we are playing now and can’t do it without leaving out an important cog.

that’s why Jose is getting the big bucks

I don't think we should cash in but even if we did try to cash in who would buy him and in this market for how much?

I think he can play as an 8 in a 433. Porch seemed to be playing him deeper in recent years and he was doing ok, but after playing as a second striker and scoring so many goals there was a perception he lost form. He clearly needs to get over these injurges but if he can get properly fit I do thin he can play well as an 8 and would provide good balance with Lo Celso as more of a playmaker and dele making runs in behind the defence from time to time. People just cant expect him to have the same scoring rate as he did when playing further up the pitch and more of his energy will have to go into defending and tracking back.

No idea. Obviously talented, if healthy one of the most productive attacking midfielders you will find, home grown but riddled with injuries for what feels like over a year. Add all that up and it makes for quite the conundrum when trying to put a price tag on him. Maybe Newcastle if Poch goes there after the takeover? Would look like a major step down for Dele, but if they are going to pump money into the club like it's being rumored, he could see it as a way to become a player being built around.

I think he could do the role GLC is doing now.

Whether he could do it as good is debatable on his current form but he could do it.

Feels like a make or break season for him upcoming.

If Ndombele is still here next Summer and commits himself (huge if at this point) then Dele will never have had more competition for his spot.

it's one of those tricky ones. He's declined over the past 2 years, even the biggest Dele fan would concede that. He's insanely frustrating at times and lacks the technical ability of a truely world class player. He does however offer moments of brilliance and for the money we'd want to sell for, nobody would buy him. He's also proven at spurs and any signing to replace him would be a massive gamble. I think we should keep him around, he's still relatively young and has an understanding of the system and players around him. I wouldn't want him in our "best" XI though, far too inconsistent.

I know he wasn’t on the pitch for long but don’t think I can remember one occasion where he didn’t either give it away or commit a foul.
I think you were watching Ben Davies today as that’s all he did for 90 mins

Dele looks like he’s not the same player he was in his early seasons. I trust Jose to know what’s best, he is a born winner and will not want to be carrying a player. Ultimately he is worth Good money and could moved on in favour of other talent which can deliver. Or he comes good again and we all love him even more...

Tough crowd. The bloke comes on after recovering from another niggling hamstring injury for all of 10-15 minutes??

And turns in a performance consistent to those when he was fit.

Scores and assists but is also one of the reasons we concede goals so frequently, losing the ball by dawdling on it, making lazy passes, half arsed tackles. He's 25% of the player we signed for MK.

We can't win if the opposition scores more than us and he's the first reason our defensive process breaks down so early. Sonny is guilty of it too but at least he runs with purpose and presses. Dele is always 10 seconds behind everyone else.

It hasn't always been the case, but for all his talent; he's a player in decline. Fans that only watch the highlights of games need to get their head around it.

He doesn't have a top player mentality and he can't do this anymore either..

Not a fan then?
