Just hate watching him play if I’m honest. Just dawdles on the ball and fritters away possession so cheaply. Some players have the ability to play at their own pace, he’s definitely not one of them. He doesn’t deserve to be in the team.

Dele for me is in the team to do a certain job and that is to play behind Kane and provide goals.

If nothing is being created around him then he is gonna be affected.

Personally I’d stick with and be looking to have Lo Celso / Lamela and Ndombele around him to provide the creativity.

Dele isn't the problem here. Lets keep the anger in the right threads.

Agreed but he has definitely regressed, I'm concerned now that he hasn't really got a position. He excelled s a 2nd striker behind Kane but he hasn't pushed on. I thought he'd drop back to become a CM like Lampard but he's not good enough to play there at the moment, not sure where that leaves him tbh...

Dele was clearly playing in a 3 man midfield.. Look Liverpool are on another level to us at the moment it's a bitter pill because we were ahead of them at some point.
People should be a bit patients with him Pochettinho is now moving Dele around tactically therefore asked to play differently

Thomas Muller 2.0, but probably not as good. Always going to difficult to fit into a position and just think we have players who offer more.

Thomas Muller is a good player....Dele can play in a few positions his best position is behind the striker.

Thomas Muller is a good player but he also plays in a significantly better team, and several coaches have struggled to fit him into the team. I’m incredibly confident that any of Lucas, Lamela and Lo Celso can more positively impact a game right now.

I find him infuriating to watch right now quite honestly. Slow on the ball, thinks he has all the time in the world, no urgency, trying flicks, not got a shot on him etc. I just don't want to see him starting next week at all to be honest. Especially if Coco is back.

Everything about him looks so laboured and predictable at the moment. Looks leaden footed and generally lacking in any kind of spark.

They were laying into him on Sky after the game.

It's hard to believe that this guy was in the PFA Team of the Season two years in a row - genuinely can't remember the last good game he had for us. Maybe the 2-0 at the Emirates in the cup a year ago?

We'd all love to see the old Dele back, chipping in with goals, pulling off moments of flair, and even adding in the shithousery that used to wind up the opposition, but all of that seems to have gone now. He scored more league goals during the 2016/17 season than he has done in the entire time since it ended - and whilst I know that part of that is due to a positional change, I'm not really sure what he's adding to the side at the moment. Not only are the goals not there, I can't remember the last time he provided an assist, and he has a tendency to slow our counter attacks down as he doesn't seem comfortable driving forward with the ball at full speed in the way that Son or even Eriksen and Kane can do. I personally cannot stand one-footed footballers unless they are Robben level but he is so predictable when receiving the ball out wide on the left that he will have to cut inside onto his right foot before he can play the ball.

Yes he's still only 23. Yes people can post to all these stats about how he's better than Lampard, Gerrard or Scholes at the same age. But I can't remember those players ever having such a bad run as Dele is having. Quite frankly, his career trajectory seems to be resembling Jenas or dare I say it even David Bentley's at this stage - may well turn out to be a harsh comparison but at the moment he looks a million miles away from the player that burst onto the scene and he quite simply doesn't fit into our best XI at the moment.

I’ve been a big defender of Dele on here, but there’s no doubt he is in a rut. Whether that’s injuries, poor form or he’s truly regressing I don’t know.

He always dawdled on the ball and took too long, but his huge strengths were his big game mentality, movement off the ball and above all huge end product. The movement is still there sometimes, but everything else has dried up.

Looks a shadow of the same player he was a couple of years ago.
