That and his muddled 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 to the 'diamond' and back again, 6 changes for Slovakia, Alli played out of position, a barely fit Wilshere getting shoe horned in as a game changer, Kane taking corners, an off form Sterling being persisted with instead of Vardy out wide, Dier playing against Iceland while ill.

FFS the whole thing was a pathetic travesty of what you would expect a professional run outfit to look like.

Big deal...I know for a fact that Josh Onomah, Nathan Oduwa & an unidentified u21 player ("blonde lad, not right tall...") were in Ibiza for a couple of weeks because they were drinking with my mate in the VIP area at a pool party. Normally I wouldn't believe my mate as he's a massive bullshitter but he described Oduwa perfectly without knowing his name and he's far too thick to have invented all that by himself...

Firstly he has had a very good first season with us and is more than entitled to a holiday. As others have said as long as he ain't doing anything illegal.

However, and this is why although I watch every Spurs game on live streaming, I don't go as often (went 3 times last season) - I feel that players in general have absolutely zero understanding of the life of a 'normal' man. Watching Spurs lose and in particular play poorly hurts. Sounds sad but I know you guys possibly feel the same. Spurs' performance has a huge affect on my weekends. Do the players care? Only they know that. Do I question whether they care? However, They appeared bothered vs Chelsea away last season which I personally liked.

What this has meant is me feeling alienated from the game. It all started when we got spanked away at Man City 3-4 years ago (can't be bothered to look up the exact season). City have 'tunnel cam', which is exactly as it sounds. The players coming in from that spanking were not bothered. Players casually chatting to City players, some smiling. It destroyed me and I wondered why it didn't them.

So as much as the England boys need a break, when they have just performed to the turgid, embarrassing level that they did, I can totally understand some anger at Rooney spending 100k per week on a yacht or Alli partying. Particularly when the regular man has just booked time of work and paid through the nose with money he ain't got to travel and support the team.

I will always watch our games. But started to watch a local side in the local Saturday evo-stick league a few times last season. Obviously the standard is poor. But the heart and desire is so much better collectively. That to me should never be underestimated.
