This is so heartbreaking, I wish him nothing but the best - he was a joy to watch at his peak

This headline insinuates Mourinho is being blamed and Dele is at pains to make it clear that’s not the case. The media’s use of language about selling this story this morning has been painful to watch, especially having seen the full interview prior to most of those headlines appearing.

His interview is so powerful. This lad has been criticised from pillar to post for wasting his talent, getting too much too soon, being lazy etc.. just shows how fans, journos, clubs etc need to exercise more caution as we never know the whole story behind the performances we see from an individual on the pitch. All the best to him and any other players struggling with past trauma and other MH challenges.

Let's not fall for the same click bait reporting that Dele has been a victim of. Dele didn't blame Mourinho, he said that Mourinho called him lazy and later apologized but "that" part wasn't reported in the documentary

if i don't comment on this, i don't think i'm being true to myself,
there's know bigger Ali fan than myself, even before he came to Spurs,
but i'm sorry to say, i'm not buying into this BS !
Call me insensitive but something just doesn't add up

So he's in rehab for a addiction to sleeping pills and the only reason he done the interview was because a certain newspaper was goring to tell all.
when i think of all the famous people who have been addicted to sleeping pills, its usually because of a underline drug problem,
why are you having problems sleeping ?

That’s so brave to come out aged 27 while still being a pro and admit to his struggles and the main causes.

lots of love for Dele - this actually makes a lot of sense and I really hope that by sharing his demons he can return to the levels of his early spurs career.

he’s a lovely lad who has clearly matured and I wish him all the very best 💙💙

So I think I'd agree that there was probably some other types of drugs used as well but the lad isn't going to incriminate himself by saying "yeah I was taking coke and meph". He's trying to come "clean" without ending his career.

On the sleeping pills, I can tell you that it is very easy to become addicted to sleeping pills and they are widely distributed to professional athletes due to the highly intensive schedule they keep which keeps them wired almost all the time.

That being said I don't think this is BS. I think he's trying to come clean on his own terms (by being the first to the pinch rather than letting the Sun frame it as they want) but also not giving away too much

Ugh, the headlines and narrative the media use to get their papers sold and links clicked by their vile reader base. Makes me sick.

Who is 'Ali'? Or 'Aleeeee' (as that twit on Talksport's evening discussion about 'transfer talk' kept referring to him as)?
