referees? I just watched the goals back from yesterday and that was never a penalty, firstly not a foul, secondly outside the box...what surprised me more was that it was Howard Webb, who I'm sure hates us..

So was it just he was having an off day, or are the bad referring decisions behind us for a week or two?!

I thought it was a penalty, i am sure one foot was in the box which would then make it a penalty to me, also it was shoulder to shoulder, which is fair and not a penalty, but after the shoulder feet got tangled and that could be why it was given

I think, in all honesty, Webb knows he's given some shockers against us, and subconsciously he evened it out yesterday...

Do you not know many Liverpool fans? I can guarantee that the majority of Liverpool supporters hate Webb as much as us Spurs fans. He's given them some terrible decisions over the years, especially against, of course, Man Utd. As you could tell by the crowd's reaction to every decision he made.

I thought it was a definite foul, without a doubt. After seeing replays, I'm still sure it was a foul. It looked like it was committed just outside the box, but I can easily understand how the ref came to the conclusion that it was committed inside the area.

And that certainly doesn't even out some of the horrendous decisions against us. A lot of the poor decisions we've had have been game changers. We were already 1-0 up and Liverpool didn't look like scoring at all yesterday so while the penalty probably put the game beyond doubt, it certainly didn't change the shape of the game as the penalties against Blackpool and both goals against Chelsea did, for instance.

It was just a little bit of karma yesterday for me ensuring that we get a Europa spot. Seeing the amount of joke decisions we have had this season, noteably vs United, the goal kick and then the 2 against Chelsea it was just what we deserved for me.

I was at the game and tbh it looked like a nailed on penalty. Now seeing the replay it looks though the foul was committed just outside the area but frankly I dont give a darn!

I still think it's a penalty. It's definitely a foul, and on the line, which means inside the box.

Can someone please explain to me where in the rules of the game it says that you are able to foul someone and get away with it as long as you use your shoulder???

He barged Pienaar off the ball - it was a definite foul.

It's hard to say whether it was a pen or not as Pienaar's last step before being floored was outside the area but by the time he was barged off the ball his body may have crossed the penalty line.

For what it's worth I would have given a foul on the edge of the area but it was by no means a ridiculous decision. Certainly nowhere near as poor as some of the calls we have had go against us this season.

It was def a foul, the bloke was a bit excited and went in too hard. It wasnt shoulder to shoulder, it was shoulder to back and was foul all day long. He lent into him too much.

Whether it was in or out i dont know, i think the fact the ball was so far in the box may have swayed Webb's thinking.

Never in a million years was that a penalty, the foul was clearly outside of the box.

Secondly, Webb got it wrong not sending Suarez off, as it clearly was a kick out at Dawson in frustration and should have earned him his marching orders. If Dawson had done that to Suarez or infact any of their f**king team they would have rolled round like someone had shot them, which would have led to a sending off. Just because Dawson is not a cheating tit like their player does not mean Suarez should have stayed on the pitch.

I think most referees would say, Webb made the correct call. Top top ref.

Just watching on football first now and flanagan has used his body to barge people about a few times and got away with it so maybe once too many.
Definite foul on the line so could have gone either way pen or free kick that said Liverpool have been cheating all over the park diving left right and centre especially Suarez who could well have walked for his kick on Dawson who was on the floor.
Not seen Liverpool cheat so badly since Dagliesh was there last time so what does that tell us about him? Once a cheat always a cheat!

it really is times like this when the rose tinted glasses mob make ultimate fool of themselves.

If that was given against us the same mob would have cried for a week.

Saying that, Karma has turned a corner.
