Is it a sign of the times when Emerson (of all people) wants to leave us for a BIG! club?

More likely Emerson Zulu (😂) fancies a big pay cheque, him being his agent (and Dad). Not convinced Real Madrid will be onboard with it though.

I'd certainly sell him, 3 years left, good age, we'd get good money. I fancy Spence will come good and Porro also. Both need to work hard defensively and I do like having Emerson as an option for a back 4 but I think with 3 RB's, if we can get good money, I'd take the risk. Happy for him to stay though.

Not bothered either way. If we got a good offer for him I’d be more inclined to take it and run but happy for him to stay as well.

Don't want to be here? Fuck off then. Same applies to anybody from top to bottom of this shambles of a club.

As much as Emerson had improved in his final 5/6 games before injury. If we can get our money back and maybe 1 or 2 beans on top, I'd say sell.

If he wants 'out' as this article suggests, he may be one of the only few we can claw-back what we paid.

He's improved since we first signed there's no doubt about that, but if this is true and it's not just an agent angling for a big payday, he hasn't improved to the levels of being Real Madrid first team standard. Hopefully there's no truth in this story but as I said if there is truth in it, he's gotta walk before he can run and at this stage he has ideas above his station.

3 months ago we couldn’t have offloaded him to Real Madras and now he’s talking European champions. How about we get more than 4 good games out of your boy before we talk turkey eh

If the new manager wants to play with a back three + wingbacks, I like the idea of having an attacking option (Porro) and a defensively solid option (Emerson) at RWB, to suit different game-plans / opponents, rather than having two attacking RWBs. I actually think this is one of the few positions we don't actively need to upgrade on.

If the new manager wants to play with a back four, Emerson is the only proper RB in our squad. We need enough signings in the summer without needing to sign two new RBs.
