I hope H scores, tears off his shirt to reveal a t-shirt in rainbow colours with 2 men or 2 women holding hands.

Wouldn't it be great if every single player that scored did it through the entire tournament ?

what like selling millions pounds of weapons to these countries and then turn around and talk about human rights,
LOL !
How exactly is selling weapons to our allies for conflict in the Middle East (ISIL, Gulf War etc.) contradictory to discussion about human rights? Is our supply of weapons to Ukraine a human rights issue too? :p

Players are political puppets nowadays, notice nobody took a knee for remembrance Sunday, speaks volumes.
Has taking a knee ever been a thing for remembrance Sunday?
No, it hasn't so I don't know where you're going with this?

A silence and the last post, which was done across the country.
You're getting your statements confused I think.

I'm sorry but I'm not having it. A squad full of players from states just as bad if not worse suddenly caring about this.

It's rank hypocrisy and yeah Harry was keen to join city only a year ago, has he suddenly started watching the news?

LOL !
The media gave you 6,500 migrant and we'll go along with that then,
Believe the media ok !
Whenever someone comes out with this sort of statement, is when you can see that you'll never be able to engage in sensible discussion with them. ?

makes me proud that our captain is prepared to stand up for a principle, rather than selling out like David 'Man of the People' Beckham!

The same captain that was looking to move to a club owned by a neighbouring country just as shit?

We're football fans mate. you can't expect us to remember what happened before the last match we played :playful:

In all seriousness, I fully agree and I'm aware of my own hypocritical stance on this.

Virtue signalling I'm afraid don't go if you feel that strongly about it.
An empty gesture, I can respect Peter Tachell and I can also describe him as brave for his stance, not so much multi millionaire who would happily join a club run by the people with the very same beliefs.
I can also respect a person who respects a country's religious beliefs and keeps their thoughts/feelings to themselves but I can't respect someone who tries to straddle both.
it's hypocrisy otherwise i understand that as captain he's seen as spokesman for the whole team/country I don't necessarily think he's a hypocrite just comes over that way, again unfortunately.
Just my opinion I'm sure he won't lose any sleep over it, he's the one who has to look at himself in the mirror though.

Maybe it is virtue signalling. He knows he can make a gesture and get away with it because nobody is arresting the England captain but he could easily have not worn it. But the whole "don't go if you care that much" argument is rubbish. You can make a statement about something you strongly object to but why should he miss out on a world cup because the corrupt organisation he is forced to play under has chosen to hold it somewhere ridiculous? It shouldn't be on the players to make that sacrifice. Doesn't mean they have to remain silent and accept everything that goes with it.

I stand by what I said, if you think that is rubbish or whatever that's fine, I respect your opinion

Players standing up and being counted would have spoken volumes, but as we're well aware, their own agendas always come first. It's a real shame that not a single one of them has the bollocks to do it in all honesty. Rosa Parkes went down in history for her stand against segregation which ranks a lot higher than winning or competing in any football tournament.

Well, the FA don't sell weapons. I can't see the issue in highlighting an issue like that.

Couple of points:

The ban is from FIFA, they will be the ones issuing the fine, not the Qatari government.

When it was announced, FIFA had the choice to address the human rights issues and the various religious laws that would impact international visitors but they chose not to because money. A bottomless pit of money. They will bow and curtsey to these medieval laws that have no actual basis in a peaceful existence, that are there to control and suppress free will.

Fuck FIFA, they had a golden opportunity to use the unifying nature of the World Cup to support human rights but they chose money.

Once the contest has started Harry should wear the armband proudly, and the FA should refuse to pay any fines issued. Let's see them take the FA to court over it, lets see them defend that.
